Kov by decision. Toney was more talented, but he never looked great at 175. Kov's power would buzz Toney enough to put him in a bit of a shell. And from there, I simply think Kov outworks him.
Agreed. Plus Kovalev is not a volume puncher so he wouldn't give JT the countering opportunites he needs.
When you look at the guys Toney beat over 160, they all seemed to have one glaring flaw that Toney could exploit. Like Jirov, too slow and hittable, wide open to the right hand etc. Kovalev is tall, fast, two handed, great power, good mover, won't throw daft shots and leave daft openings, I think he takes it over 12.
