Malinaggi should be well ahead. Zab has won two rounds at most.

Haha Judah shows what a bitch he is yet again.

Trying to fight when the final bell rings. Early in the fight there was an accidental head butt. Zab runs away to get the ref to stop the action yet Paulie was the one who got a gash over the eye and had to fight through flowing blood.

Is Zab Judah the most frustrating guy ever? He ain't even breathing hard but can't throw a few punches against a guy who can't hurt him?

    He's a front running bitch.

It was funny hearing the announcers saying it was "uncharacteristic" of Zab the way he was non-fighting.

Wow. Sounds like a profitable weekend. We've got a pfp contender who won't throw punches, and we've got old Paulie "All My Exes are Mudsharks" Malignaggi and Zab "Soopah" Judah "fighting" each other. Then youve got your loaded gloves affair in Germany which everyone DENIES

Thank fuck Devon got beaten. Hopefully they just stop showing him now. He's not the elite fighter they hyped him up to be, and he's borderline unwatchable.

Devon has decent skills but little pop on his shots. And against the top guys, it caught up to him.

Have to admit im really surprised by the Lara-Trout result, I had Lara pegged as one of the most overrated guys in the sport, he seems to drop rounds against everyone.

Same here, I know he's a classic, skilled boxer but he's never impressed me much. Really didn't expect him to completely dominate a guy like Trout.

This result could be deceiving though. Perhaps a similar dynamic to Floyd Vs Marquez, or a Duran Vs Chavez mythical match, where they are similar stylistically, with one just being better in pretty much every way.

In a situation like that, even if the lesser fighter is excellent, he's barely going to win a round against a better version of himself.

The style of the fight suited Lara. Trout likes to box from the outside and he tried to outbox a better boxer than him. That was never gonna fly. To beat Lara you gotta do it on the inside. Push him back, throw more than 1 or 2 punches. His stamina isn't the greatest nor is his chin.

Would like to see Mayweather vs Lara but it won't happen, sadly. Would be an interesting fight, though Floyd would win. Instead we're gonna be treated to Mayweather-Khan:wack:

Pre-Tszyu version of Judah was more offensive minded even if he got dropped.

That one punch KO changed Judah's mentality. After that, he would always shut down whenever he started to get hit.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I guess being the taller man is a bigger advantage than usual in a match up like that too.

If Lara lost his next fight to some C+ class guy I wouldnt be shocked though. He's made such a meal of every other fight I've seen him in despite his slick footwork etc.

Alexander-Porter was a pretty scrappy fight, but Porter took the fight to Alexander from the off and made Alexander look like shite, tbh. Deserved the win though, but went in with his head alot.

It was two reasons 1. Trout was a good style matchup for him and 2. He was more focused last night than in any previous fight. He usually has lulls, and that's when he gives rounds away, but last night he was sharp and focused for 12 rounds. Just wished he let his hands go more. A more active Lara EASILY could have stopped the Fish.

He just outclassed Trout in every way.

I know you hate Zab, but c'mon. Last night had NOTHING to do with Zab being a front runner. It had EVERYTHING to do with Zab being a shot fighter who simply can't pull the trigger anymore.

Age, and wear and tear have simply taken their toll on him. He might not have ever been Pernell with a punch, but there's no doubt in my mind that in his prime he would have defeated Paulie. Paulie at this point has quicker hands than Zab, and was able to beat him to the punch all night, and that simply wouldn't have been the case with a young Judah. Like him or not, Zab in his prime had arguably the fastest hands in the sport, or top 3 alongside Roy, and Shane.

Look at the Judah that KO'd Spinks in the rematch for example. Zab is SOOOOOO far removed from being that fighter anymore. Do you honestly believe Paulie would have beaten that version of Zab?I don't think, cause I don't think Paulie is as good as Spinks was. Zab's prime was basically over after the Cotto fight. He was never quite physically the same again after the ass whuppin Miggy put on him.

The Garcia fight was his VERY last stand. I think even the little bit that he had left he gave against Danny, but Garcia still beat his ass.

Last night, he looked like he had NOTHING left in the tank.

Time for Judah to hang him up. There's NO world class fighter he can beat at this point, and he's so shot at this point that if he keeps fighting nobodies are gonna start beating him consistently.

Not Porter. But Bradley and Matthyssee are and he lost to both and I don't care what the judges said.

Last night's fight alone didn't have a whole lot to with Zab being front runner but part of his character showed up in spots. Same as in the Khan fight where he tried to sell the body shot as a low blow.

Would I make the Judah of years ago a favorite over Paulie? Yeah probably, but I don't think it would have been an easy fight for him either. If you want to bring up Spinks, the most obvious comparison is that he and Malinaggi can't punch at all. However Paulie still has the ability to do more than bring negative tactics and can actually fight going forward. If the Judah that beat Spinks was so good why didn't he take him out the first time around instead of requiring a rematch over somebody whose style suited him perfectly?
