Yeah but Hatton and Cotto have both proven to be better ticket sellers than Floyd.

is that your fandom speaking or have you not ever heard a recent Floyd interview?

cmon let's be real. Floyd thinks he is the epitome of boxing right? so with that he thinks he can command market value for his fights and for who he fights which leads me to believe he will do what Oscar did to Shane for their rematch and offer no more than 75-25.

that shit wont fly with Hatton and we all know that.

so in realistic sense all Floyd is doing is giving the perception he is down with a fight but until the actual numbers surface we dont know his true intentions considering he himself said initially it was DLH or no more fighting I dont need the game anymore I am busy with other things

    right?

The Split should be even as the entire boxing planet should know who the draw would be in this one.

And for all those who want to see Hatton lose because he's white are just plain pathetic. Floyd fighting and beating a white guy would leave you in the same state that your in now, PATHETIC!

According to Floyd fans Hatton better fight him because he called Floyd out? Here comes the word all Floyd fans hate, "MARGARITO" ring a bell with you? He called out your hero over and over again, called him everything you or I could think of and yet what happened? Yes, Floyd ran!

Notorious E.A.N.E.R., you must realize you're dealing with delusional Floyd apologists who pick and choose what they want to remember about what Floyd says.

Hatton admitted that he turned down a fight with Floyd, but the flip side was how much money Floyd wanted. After the DLH gig, Floyd thinks he's a $20 million fighter. I still have a hard time seeing him getting a $15 million payday.

From and attendance standpoint, the biggest fight in boxing is Calzaghe-Kessler. The second is Mayweather-Hatton.

Both have one thing in common, which is they'd both have to take place in England. It's possible that HBO and a casino could come up with the cash to properly pay both guys, but the night of the fight I'd bet there'd be more Union Jack's on display than Philthy Rich Record t-shirts.

While Mayweather-Mosley would be a good fight and would do good business, the atmosphere for Mayweather-Hatton would rival that of MAB-Morales or MAB-Hamed.

    What?

When was there ever a possiblity that Mayweather and Shane could have fought?

    Let's review for a second...

Floyd and Shane were never at the same weight class at the same time. When Floyd won his lightweight belt in 2002 (135) ...Mosley had been a welterweight for three years.

So when exactly did Shane not give Floyd a shot?

It sounds like you've listened to Floyd's BS. Last year, Floyd said Shane has ducked him for 10 years" which was a curious statement seeing that Floyd turned pro about eight months prior to Shane winning a world title one weight class ABOVE where Floyd turned pro.

When Floyd has a fight in Vegas (his hometown) where half the crowd isn't comped, get back at me.

That statement is obviously sans DLH...

    BTW...

There were TONS of comped tickets for Mayweather-Baldomir. Most of the tickets were given away.

Floyd-Judah didn't have as many comps. The place was fairly full, but did have a decent amount of comped tickets.

The way I see this is Floyd has no negotiation power with Ricky. Ricky is the draw. Both are champions and undefeated, but Ricky gets the ppv buys and sells the tickets. If I was Ricky I would go public with an offer. Give Floyd 50/50 but the fight is at 140 and in England.

    That's ridiculous.

We call Hatton a "ghost" and pale face etc...because it's funny. If it were a white/black thing...why do I root for Wladimir Klitschko in EVERY fight?

"ghost is merely Hatton's alias on these boards, but we want him to lose because of the way he fights and the fact that he has the TEMERITY to criticize the greatest fighter of our generation, a man who he couldn't even carry the jockstrap for.

he just calling him a ghoust because hes pale, he doesnt want him to loose because hes white, he just happens to be white and want him to loose, to assume that, is to assume that everyone wants floyd to loose because hes black when they call him ghetto trash, and thug, and any other thing they can come up with

it would be silly to assume people dont want him to loose because hes white, but i dont think thats why puerto and sly want him to loose, i think sly is white anyways isnt he?

Mayweather actually does pretty respectable PPV numbers. Other than De La Hoya (and maybe Trinidad), generally it seems like 300k is around the point between good and not-so-good. Floyd's always done over 300k in PPV sales.

The smaller guys are a little different with Barrera, Morales, Pac, etc....They might do less than 300 but it's still usually a success.
