I agree..but I felt that Oscar himself had the best chance...and he failed, so it's not looking too good for the rest.

    Hatton gets the PPV buys?

Mayweather has shown more PPV clout, Hatton has shown more ability to get the live audience.

Yeah this 11,000 fans following Hatton around the world is overblown and takenout of context.

british fans are crazy, any sport. Make no mistake the population of the US is FIVE or SIX times that of Britain and in the US, Mayweather is far more well known and as such potentially makes far more money than hatton.

    Simple logic 101

Yeah, because he was just part of the highest grossing fight in history??

Of course DLH was the biggest part of that, but still.......if you made 20 million in your last fight would you take a back seat in the negotiations to some dude that probably didn't even make 2 million?

As talented as Floyd is he can't draw flies to a pile of :shit: Oscar can draw huge numbers and ticket sales all by himself, as can Hatton, Floyd needs a good dance partner to do good numbers or Hoya/Hatton to do great numbers. The fight makes the most money in England period, big PPV numbers no matter what but a much bigger gate in England. I really don't see Floyd going to England, can't say I blame him but wish he would as that would leave one less hurdle in making the fight. Ricky's already proven unlike other English champs that he has no problem fighting in the states, but still more $$ to be made by both on the other side of the pond.

He didn't make that $20 million himself. Oscar GAVE him the $20 million so if it weren't for Oscar $2 million is what Mouthweather would have made fighting some other fighter.

When Mosley was on top him and Floyd were never in the same division. Besides it's Floyd who always claimed Shane ducked him (which was bullshit).

    hahah

Dude, i don't know from under what rock you just crawled, but it takes TWO people to make a megafight, not one.

Leonard-Hagler wasn't HUGE just because of Leonard. Lewis-Tyson wasn't huge JUSt because of Tyson and Oscar-Mayweather wasn't huge JUST because of Oscar.

When Oscar fought, Shane...Castillego (can never spell his name), Sturm...Gatti he didn't make any where NEAR the numbers he made against Floyd.

Therefore something tells me that Floyd had some part to play...

The hype along with 24/7 had more to do with the numbers than Floyd did. If HBO would have done all of that with the Tito or Mosley fights the numbers would be about the same. Floyd is NOT a draw no matter how bad you want him to be.

im not saying (anymore) that is was a complete duck, but floyd did want to fight him then, and mosely didnt give him a chance, so now he wants to fight him, same thing is happening

    Give it a rest.

Next you'll say Hamed ducked Floyd because Floyd said he'd fight Hamed at a catchweight of 128.

mayweather saying that bullshit is just as worthless as when Mosley said Trinidad ducked him when Tito went to 160.

Mosley said he wanted to fight Tito AFTER the press conference to announce the middleweight tournament. I'm waiting for X to start the "Trinidad ducked Mosley Thread."

Besides, for every interview you find where Floyd says something, you can probably find two or three where he says the exact opposite.

You realize that what you're saying is equal to Andre Berto saying Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton are ducking him right?

That was what...in 1999? Shane was already talking about going to welterweight AND talking about fighting Oscar at the time.

In fact, Oscar was talking about why he WOULDN'T fight Mosley at a press conference for the Trinidad fight which happened that September.

Shane made his debut at 147 that September (the week after DLH-Trinidad)...

Mayweather was THREE YEARS away from making his debut at 135...the division Shane had left.

    So I ask again...

When exactly did this opportunity for Mayweather and Mosley fighting occur?

That's the problem with the Mayweather fanclub, they hang on every ridiculous word that comes out of his mouth.

Yes Floyd Oscar did great numbers and Floyd had something to do with it but to say Floyd is a big draw on his own is silly. Floyd can't do average #'s without a good dance partner and for him to think that now that he beat Oscar he is worth Oscar type numbers is crazy.
