You mean...you missed yet another dazzling display of footwork by a guy with "the best amateur career of all time over 300 fights..."

    Then WHY Didn't He?

Loma's Utterly Impressive, Undoubtedly, but we Can't Gift Him Wins Against Guys he's LOST to, Already...

Favored Over Salido, Hell Yes...But REED Will Need to SEE Loma "Destroy Salido", Before Believing he Acrually Can...In Fact, the Salido RE is THE Fight to Be Made for Loma, Aside from Garcia, Obviously...

Anybody mentioning Garcia and automatically think of Loma getting fat to fight DANNY Garcia instead of Mikey

I'd pick Loma to outclass bum ass Danny even if Cherry came into the ring with a 15 pound "functional weight advantage".

The gap in talent would be too astronomical for Danny's size to be a factor.

    In for a quick nibble.
Not virtuoso, like Floyd/ Gatti or Calzaghe / Lacy,.. Sosa was out-boxed. plain as Jane. up until Lomachenko started to suffocate that is. Now, regrettably, the Salido loss makes more sense than just inexperience. I wonder if his coaches realise this isn't the olympics anymore?, if you've got a stamina problem you've got plenty of 'advisors' under the top rank banner.

I'd favor Loma over anyone below 140 pounds. I think Crawford would be too big for him. And TC will probably end up at 147 within the next 2 years anyway.

I don't think Loma can go to 140. I think he's a bit small for that weight.

When he's getting picked over top 147 guys like Garcia, you know that the guy is startig to get insanely overrated.

No Doubt About It...ALREADY on REED's Short List of "Must-See" Fighters...

The Vast Majority of Fighters w/Excellent Footwork Utilize it for DEFENSIVE Purposes...Lomachenco Uses His for OFFENSIVE Purposes...He's Remorseless in BREAKING his Opponents Spirit Too...

A Joy to Watch, for Sure...

Fans are PREMATURE in Tabbing Lomachenko to BEAT 140-147 lb'ders, but there's NATHAN Overrated about His Skillset....

And Considering the Number of Fights He Has, Loma's Resume is Pretty STOUT...His Shit is ALREADY Better than Triple G's...

    is this a serious question?

that fight was 3 years ago. lomachenko has clearly become more accustomed to the pro game while salido is 3 years older with the wear and tear of 4 hard ass wars since then.

not only that, lomachenko came into the ring against sosa at around 140lbs. that would neutralize the substantial weight advantage salido had 3 years ago when he didnt even make the weight.

not only that lomachenko has learned how to force the referee to acknowledge when he has been fouled, which clearly was not the case 3 years ago in crooked ass texas with your boy Dickie Coles son.

salido would get wrecked very badly. i understand he wants another big payday but his team needs to consider his long term health when faced with the prospect of getting hit flush in the face 400 more times from such a sharp puncher.

if VADA testing is being used salido would really get murdered.

Also, Lomachenko badly hurt Salido during the 12th round. And, as neil said, it was a badly officiated fight. While Salido was hurt, he threw something like 3 obvious punches below the belt line directly in front of Cole and nothing was done about it. Not even a warning.

I really don't like Salido's chances if the rematch was to happen.

NONE Of This Guarantee's Lomachenko "Destroys" Salido Though...

Again, REED Also FAVORS Lomachenko, but "Destroys" Insinuates a Completely Non-Competitive Bout, and if That WERE The Case, Lomachenko Would've OVERCAME the Factors You've Noted, the 1st Time...

REED was Pretty Certain Roy Jones Would WIN his RE w/Montell Griffin, but REED Doesn't Recall Anyone Picking Roy to "Destroy" Him...Ditto for Lennox Lewis vs. Rahman and Joe Louis vs. Schmeling...All Occasions Where the Losing Fighter DESTROYED his Foe in the RE, Yet NO ONE Predicted Destructions...

REED Wouldn't Put it Past Salido to Go Out Meekly, as a Final "Fuck You" to Top Rank and Team Lomachenko...That Nicholas Walters Shit Ain't Cool...

Walters didn't show up with that intention though. He just got his ass beat and embarrassed. Saldio might walk into the fight with that mindset. If things aren't going his way in the first few rounds find a way out and make excuses later.

A bit like Rubio vs Golovkin.

of those scenarios the louis-schmeling is most appropriate. inexperienced guy who got overwhelmed then gained seasoning and fought the rematch several fights later. jones jr and lewis both had immediate rematches.

i cant really say what the sentiment was when they had that schmeling rematch as i wasnt around.

that said, i certainly expect a non competitive fight if they rematch. Id be shocked if salido was competitive.
