I know what you're trying to get at, but the fact remains that as they both aged Floyd just kept in much better shape than Duran and was more dedicated. In his 30's, Duran started blowing up considerably between fights and was probably walking around at like 180.
Yup, this time I do have an agenda. Too many excuses for Duran's losses. Duran didn't fair well against slicksters. He wasn't a consistent performer above Lightweight. Consistency proves more than great performances here and there. We are too soft on Duran and too harsh on contemporary fighters. Mayweather has a bad night against Castillo (injured)...yet still wins....but people suggest that because of that..Duran knocks him out. Duran has a bad night against Laing, and loses, and people just say he was partying too hard and fat and unmotivated blah blah. I mean, listen to yourselves.
Kirkland Laing wasnt even that good as a fucking domestic boxer. Wait - he was good at falling out of balcony-windows...
