the angle thing is interesting angle is or atleast was a worldclass wrestler plus he does look to be in great shape jones would muder silva in boxing, dana wont let jones in the same arena as silva, let alone boxing ring
yes he will...first of, its a ton of publicity...and secondly, it will be an angle to get a world class boxer, maybe even jones himself into the octagon
jones would never do it firstly hes too old, secondly, he doesnt have the time to learn and become efficient at the neccessary disciplines to be good (age again), and thirdly, jones has always been about safety.... in boxing, hed never put himself at the increased risk with MMA, plus he isnt stupid he knows he doesnt have the skillset to compete, nor the time to learn dana would be better of going for a younger cat, someone with time to acclimate to MMA
he wouldnt want someone who would acclimate to mma at first....he'd want a high profile boxer to come in there and get arm barred in 45 seconds
any self respecting great boxer would never do that dana will wind up getting larry holmes or making a pitch for ali
I hope they at least negotiate. I wanna hear Dana bitch about Roy's negotiating skills. Robbing them MMA fighters with no options is one thing but trying to get a big cut from Roy Jones is a whole different story.
