what i find amusing is that the most objectionable foe mayweather jr has faced the past 4 years flat out schooled one of mosleys opponents in the same time frame.

 

Again, I wouldn't be surprised. At this point, the only thing that would surprise me regarding PBF is if he faced Cotto, Mosley, Clottey or even Margarito.

PBF/JMM is an intriguing fight. But only because it will tell us whether JMM can carry 140+ pounds and still be effective. But the intrigue is in spite of PBF's involvement.

PBF's legacy will be crap. I don't blame him for wanting to make the most money possible. I just blame him for talking so much shit without even facing the best fighters in his division. He can't have it both ways. Either he can go after as much money as he can fighting carefully picked opposition and live with not being the best fighter in his division, or he has to prove himself against the best. This business of him facing guys like Judah, Hatton and now JMM, and still maintaining that he's the best in the world is nauseating. It's like RJJ all over again.

it's not strictly money fights he wants. he's more focused on the risk/reward ratio.

He's not entirely wrong, Floyd wants the most money for the least risk. Why else would he be fighting Marquez? It certainly does nothing for his legacy, it's not the biggest money fight he could have got, but it IS the most money for the least risk.

whether its the biggest money fight is not the issue. its a money fight, and its a tune up. mayweather jr wont be taking any non money fights anytime soon. unless he starts accumulating losses, and is in need of money.

Foreman wasn't that flashy and he made his fortune during his second career...after coming back for money.

Floyd is such an asshole, he won't get get the sympathy benefit of the doubt Tyson received.
