maybe, but I' don't think he'll be willing to go back to fight for 3 millions dollars after making more than a 100 millions for the PBF fight.

At the very best, I think he will try to renogotiate his contract, and this is bad news for the UFC

In all seriousness, if Floyd doesn't knock this guy out, that would be embarrassing for him, even at 40.

Conor's Always Struck REED as More FIGHTER than OPPORTUNIST; the Kind that Literally WOULD Fight a Motherfucker for Free, Who's Just In a Position he Doesn't Have To Anymore...

If the Mayweather Fight Goes like Most Boxing Fans THINK, McGregor Will Want to Quickly Get Back to his Safe Haven and Reestablish His AURA w/MMA Fans...Look @ How Quick the Diaz RE Came About, a Fight MOST Thought Conor Would LOSE (Again)...He COULDN'T Sit on that Loss...

During Dana White's ESPN Interview, Officially Announcing the Signing of Mayweather-McGregor, he Said (Paraphrasing) "Conor Told Me He Wants to Return to the Octagon Later this Year, Win, Lose or Draw".

The Mayweather Fight is a 1-Off; a Means of McGregor SETTING his Family for Life, Financially...Conor Already KNOWS How UFC Handles its Finances, so he Won't Make Exorbitant Demands, Mainly Because he'll STILL Want to Fight and Be a Dominant Champion...

Dude is What, 27-28 Years Old???...REED Could See him Fighting Until Early-Mid 30's for Sure...

    And Boxing...

When James Toney Got in the Octagon with Randy Couture, he was Quickly Taken to the Ground and Tapped Out in LESS than a Full Round...

Floyd Has to STOP McGregor for Sure...Ref Stoppage, Corner Stoppage, Clean KO, TKO, Stoppage on Cuts, Whatever...Shit CANNOT Go 12 Full Rounds...

To be fair, Toney was old and washed up and McCregor is closer to prime than Floyd.

Toney's Age had NATHAN to Do w/the Couture Fight Though; He was Simply OUT of his Element...

Couture Took him to the Ground Almost Immediately, Negating Any of Toney's Standup Advantages Right Off the Bat...Couture was SMART Enough to NEVER Give Toney a Chance to Use his Boxing, So Toney Being IN or PAST his Prime was of No Consequence...

McGregor Will Be EQUALLY Out of his Depths w/Floyd...And Even w/Floyd's BETA Style of Fighting, it Shouldn't Be Difficult for Him to Stop Conor SOME Point Before the Final Bell Tolls...

The problem with this fight is that we just can't be sure it will be a straight fight. Will Floyd take $100 million and turn it into $500 million by losing? I think he won't, but it's got to be tempting. I have a friend who wanted to bet $100 on McGregor to make $700. I'm thinking about covering that bet.

If Floyd is going for the win, he can knock out McGregor after five rounds guaranteed. I personally expect that he could get rid of McGregor in the first round if he had to. He does not need to fight cautiously, he does not need to worry about McGregor getting lucky. He will be in there with a guy who has no chance.

Even in the small chance that he fights defensively, McGregor will be so open for counters that Floyd will land at will, and be able to throw harder than he normally does. The idea that Floyd's age--40!!!!--matters one speck is stupid wishful thinking. The only way for someone like Floyd to get down to Conor's level is to not train a bit.

I doubt it's gonna be a straight fight, but I can't see anyway in Hell Floyd agrees to throw the fight. He loves money, but he also loves his undefeated record and his label as "TBE".

If he loses to McGregor, his legacy is OVER. It doesn't matter that he's 40 and inactive, his lone defeat will be to a boxing NOVICE making his PRO DEBUT.

Leonard losing at 40 to Camacho didn't hurt his legacy, since Camacho was very active at the time and was at least once a very good fighter. Camacho had more boxing ability in one testicle than McGregor has in his whole body.

So, this is different. Floyd can't afford to lose. If he does, he'll be shredded forever and remembered as a joke. He don't want that.

I think the "agreement" is Floyd will carry Connor.

It's beyond ridiculous that Conor is only 5-1 underdog

    It's all for appearances.

The general public has gotta buy this bullshit, and seeing Conor has a 100-1 underdog, which he is, might dissuade them from ordering.

    Exactly.

It's not like he's turning pro with the experience of Lomenchenko....who btw would beat the brakes off Conor.

Loma would beat McGregor with both hands tied.

Conor's size edge would be totally irrelevant.

Other thing with Conor is that he's woefully slow compared with a boxer. Mayweather should fuck him up within a minute

Floyd is likely to carry him though, to make it an event. He'll toy with him and take it to at least six rounds IMO.

The only questions on this matchup are:

    1. Is Floyd taking him too lightly and not preparing properly?
    2. Is Floyd suddenly shot overnight?

If Floyd is still in "Berto" form, he beats McGregor worse than he beat Gatti.

    The good news is...

If Floyd happens to win in a mismatch...he'd likely want to fight Keith Thurman (I can't reveal my sources on that one)
