Yeah, Between the Patriots, Red Sox and Brief Success of the Pierce/Garnett/Allen/Rondo Celtics Boston Fans Got Pretty Arrogant...

"Got" Arrogant is Actually a Misnomer, as This Trait is Typically Par for the Course w/Most Northeasterners...It Just Laid Dormant for a While During the Red Sox ACTUAL Championship Drought...

Thoughts on the KD Injury/GS Medical Staff Issue?

The Company Line is He Was In No Danger of Worsening the Strained Calf, Yet He Ruptures His Achilles, Inches Below the Injured Calf?

Was it the Achilles All Along? The Latest Example of NBA Medical Ineptitude? Down 3-1, Did GS Get Desperate and LIE, Knowing They Needed KD Back In the Lineup?

Is There Any Way KD Trusts GS’ Medical Staff At This Point? He Just Went From Under Their Umbrella for the Surgery He Had.

Does KD Opt-In for $31.5mil, Rehab All Next Season THEN Pursue Free Agency Or Will He Still Proceed as Previously Planned?

    Insert Clever Metaphor Here
From what I've read, an injured calf can lead to a ruptured Achilles, as the athlete overcompensates for the calf injury with the way he carries himself.

At this point, Durant hasn't expressed any ill will toward Golden State, and said he put himself out there because he loves basketball and didn't want to sit on the sidelines while his team was trying to three-peat.

On the surface, the smart play is to Opt-in for the rehab season, but he might get offered just as much from somebody else to not play next year, in the hopes he is healthy the next, and they have him wrapped for a few years after. I mean, a max contract is a max contract, but what's odd about the top end of NBA contracts, is that somebody like Kemba Walker could end up making just as much money (contract wise), as Durant or Lebron or Curry.

I mean, Kemba is a nice player and I love him as a UCONN alumnus and former NCAA Tournament Hero.

But if a team has to choose between 3 years of Kevin Durant or 4 years of Kemba Walker for the same money..............chances are they're gonna take Durant.

As you already said, he's a sensitive dude, and I think he wants to prove himself somewhere the critics don't have a chance to say: "well they would have probably won with or without him anyways."

REED Wonders if the Injury Itself Makes KD Reluctant to Leave Just Yet...REED Has No Doubt KD Would Bounce, if Not for the Injury...Like You Said, that Chance to "Prove Himself Somewhere Else"; But That's Obviously Been Delayed...

Every Team Will WOO Him, But Dude Will Be on Crutches and Shit, Not HIMSELF So to Speak...Yes, He IS SENSITIVE As Hell :D and Basketball is a Safe Haven...So REED Questions if KD Will Want to Get a Fresh Start Under These Particular Circumstances, Knowing He Won't Be Able to Play Until After the All-Star Break, if That...

Let's Say KD's Pissed @ the Warrior's Medical Staff??? What Better Way to Stick to Them than Opting In, Utilizing Your OWN Source of Rehab All Season, Possibly Returning Late Season/Playoffs, then Leaving as an Unrestricted Free Agent???...

I’ve been hearing the team really messed up on the bench. After Durant warmed up his calf/achilles before and during the game, they made a bad move by icing it all up while he was on the bench and then sending him back out there.

You have to ask yourself if golden state would've allowed Durant to play if he was under contract for the next 3 to 4 years?

Yeah, You Typically Don't See Ice Whipped Out Unless a Player is DONE for that Particular Game...

Either Way, it Doesn't Look Like GS' Staff Will Escape w/Much Medical Credibility Remaining...

    Congrats to the Toronto Raptors...

They Defended GS as Good as Any Team Has Over their 5 Year Run, GS Couldn't Do Shit w/Kawhi Short of DOUBLING Him, Siakam Had His Way w/their Post Defenders Off the Dribble and Ibaka and Van Vleet Provided STARTING Level Production Off the Bench...And When Any of Them Seemed to Be Off, Lowry or Gasol Made Vital Buckets...

That Said, The 82 Game NBA Season is a Marathon, Not to Mention 4 Playoff Rounds, and Injuries CLEARLY Took a Toll on GS...The BIGGEST Loser in This Series is Their Fucking Medical Staff:D...Looney Played Thru a Chest Injury, Getting Game Day Injections, Iguodala is Old AND was Nursing a Bad Wheel...Klay Missed Game 3 via Injury, Only to Get Hurt Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurther Tonight, and of Course KD's 12 Minutes in the 1 Game He Played...

It Seems Unfathomable Kawhi Would Leave a CHAMPIONSHIP Squad, But He's a Strange Bird...He's Become THE Biggest Free Agent of the Off-Season, if he Wasn't Already...He's From LA and ALWAYS Wanted to Play There, So We'll See What Happens...

All That Said, Hard NOT to Feel BAD for DeMar DeRozan and Dwayne Casey Who Seemed to Be Unfairly Shipped Off Last Season...Hard to Argue w/the Championship Result Though...And, Even as Bron Wiped His Ass w/Toronto Year After Year, Kyle Lowry Caught the Most Heat from Critics...

    Now He's a World Champion...Forever...

Leonard has the opportunity to become the only player to win finals mvp on 3 different teams if he leaves

I think he'll stay. He can get the most money and gets to play alongside a potential top 10 player in the league as siakam continues to improve

The Thing Is, Kawhi Will Be 28 Later This Month, a FLEXIBLE Age...

He Could Do the Type of 1-2 Year Deals KD's Done w/GS OR Go Full, Unadulterated, 5 Year Super Max...Based on All REED's Heard of Kawhi's Affinity for LA, His Uncle's Control Over the Situation and Yes, the Video of Kawhi's Sister w/the Uncle in the Background Saying "They Already Know He Ain't Staying", it Doesn't Seem Likely He'll Re-Up w/Toronto for the Looooooooooooooong Haul...

Granted, The Video was Like 2-3 Weeks Ago and a Championship Obviously CHANGES Shit...That Said, REED Would Be STUNNED if Kawhi Signed a Full 5-Year Deal w/Toronto, Which Would LITERALLY Encompass the Remainder of his Prime Basketball Years...

As Usual, the NBA Summer Will Be AS Interesting or MORE Than the Actual Season and Playoffs Were...

Good point. I'm sure if he does re up with Toronto he'll have multiple opt outs

It makes the most sense for him to stay basketball wise and money wise, but hard to say what's in the guys head. The way he spoke with van pelt makes it sound like he's outta there

This is Why the Media SHOULDN'T Be Allowed to Vote on Shit Like That in REED's Opinion...

No Doubt, Hubie Thought "Everybody KNOWS Kawhi's the Real MVP and Will Vote That Way", So He Took the Opportunity to Throw Van Vleet a Bone...

Problem Is, if Enough Motherfuckers Grant SYMPATHY Votes You Wind Up w/Iguodala's Non Starting Ass Being a Finals MVP, When Bron and Steph were MORE Deserving Yhat Year...

And Years Later, Few if Any Remember Such and Such WASN'T Really the Most Valuable Player of the Finals, Yet Was Awarded Finals MVP Anyways...
