Sooooo, Yeah, Pete Carroll & Seattle Obviously Bought INTO the Russell Wilson HYPE Too, Putting the GAME on the Shoulder's of a Certified GAME MANAGER, just as the Patriots HOPED they Would, w/the Game on the Line...

@ the End of the Day, Seattle LOST Because they FAILED to Allow their BEST Offensive Option, Marshawn Lynch, to Tote the Note in THE Biggest Red Zone Situation of their Season....

To Paraphrase Denny Green, Russell Wilson "Was who REED THOUGHT He Was", Today...Anybody STILL Labeling REED a Russell Wilson "Hater" Only Need Look @ Dude's Last 2 Games, for EVIDENCE Why REED Thinks he's OVERfuckingRATED...

NOT a "Bad" QB by Any Means, Obviously, but Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay OVERRATED...Any & All Talk of his So-Called "Record vs. Super Bowl Winning QB's" Is Meaningless Too, Unless he's Getting DEFENSIVE Snaps in the Process..

LOL.....great Superbowl....Was watching the game with one insane Patriots fan.....after the WR for Seattle made that crazy catch with 1 minute to go in the game....he got on his knees in shock...it was like someone had told him his kid had died or something...he looked around asking..."he caught it? how did that happen?..omg"....20 seconds later he was in extazy ....Pete Carroll is the cockiest bastard in the NFL....good that it blew up in his face. 1st or 2nd & goal at the 3yard line...40+ seconds left...you hand that shit of to BEAST MODE...let him take it in....but NO..you want to be an arrogant fuck....

Can Someone PLEASE Explain to REED how the Seattle Receiver Made a "Football Move", FROM HIS BACK, yet Dez Bryant DIDN'T, by Jumping in the Air, Landing INBOUNDS w/Both Feet & LUNGING Towards the End Zone???....

TREMENDOUS Level of FOCUS by the Seattle Receiver, but the 2 Plays REED Just Referenced Shows the Sheer INCONSISTENCY of What a "Football Move" Really Is....

If/When Any of YOU Can CLEARLY Define a "Football Move" to REED, Please Let him Know...

You do understand that the play on Bryant was called because the ball touched the ground, right?

You DO Understand Dez CAUGHT the Ball, Landed INBOUNDS w/Both Feet, LUNGED Towards the End Zone & was TOUCHED by the Defender @ the 1-2 Yard Line, Right???...

WATCH the Play in it's ENTIRETY, then Holla Back...Dez CLEARLY Makes a "Football Move", or as MUCH of 1 as the Seahawk Receiver Made from his BACK, Certainly...Dez is CLEARLY TOUCHED by a Packer Defender...So if You Want to Be "Letter of the Law" Guy, it Should've Been "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys' Rock @ the 1-2 Yard Line, if YOUR Assertion is the Ball "Touched the Ground"....

if, If, IF the Rock Touched the Ground, that was a FUMBLE, Which WASN'T Recovered by the Opposing Team, @ the Absolute WORST...Cowboys Ball, 1st & Goal, Period...

    What was YOUR Point, Exactly???...

REED I agree and have always believed that while Carroll is a great coach and motivator he has showed frequent lapses in judgement over the years with the Hawks. 2 years back he cost the Hawks a trip to the NFC championship by TWICE refusing to kick a FG while well within range and instead going for it on 4th down.. in a game they eventually lost by a couple points. Then this call... is certainly questionable, but to be honest had the catch been made then we wouldn't even be thinking about it. But it wasn't so this question is relevant and pretty much everyone will agree they should have attempted to run the ball in. Wilson made a good play on it, but the NE defense made a GREAT play, and like Wilson himself said, at the moment he released the ball he believed the Seahawks had won the superbowl. Another GREAT year for the Hawks, and Wilson has further cemented that he is one of the great QBs in the league.

REED from the instant the play was made I believed that Bryant made the catch and the Cowboys got robbed. I wanted them to win because I like them, and also I wanted to watch the Seahawks humiliate them on way to the NFC championship, unfortunately we didn't get to see that and instead got to watch them humiliate the Packers. But regardless that call on Bryant was bullshit, even by the rules as they are written today, the wrong call was made as Dez clearly made the catch and was not 'on the way to the ground' until after he'd already landed both feet and got tripped by the defender.

Your take on this though is completely ridiculous and makes no sense, 2 totally incomparable plays.

    Manziel enters rehab.

He's not an NFL quality player, so he might as well get his personal shit in order.

It wasn't a bad call because they threw the ball instead of handing it to Lynch. It was a bad call because it was a slant pattern to the middle of the field where everybody is already bunched up, because they are on the 1 Yard line..........and the throw itself barely made the line of scrimmage, let alone the goal line.

Wilson had plenty of time and protection. There was no reason for him to get rid of the ball that fast, with 2 downs left to get the TD. If they were going to throw it, the ball should have been pulled back to look for an obvious open guy in the endzone, and if it's not there, throw it away.

    Noble,
After re-analysing the sequence, I've changed my mind and now believe Carroll made the correct call to throw, and in fact an excellent one but it unfortunately was with the wrong route and executed poorly. The other problem, is that Bellichick also knew it was the right call to make and had his guys ready for it. Running on that down would have either prevented them from using 4th down at all, or telegraphed the 3rd down play (known pass) that followed. At the time some commentators said that Bellichick was mistaken in not trying to preserve the clock to have a chance for a FG tie, but he in fact made a great call to run the clock and figured out what Carroll was thinking... great minds think alike, and his D guy made an INSANE INT. I'd say you do that play and 7/10 times the TD catch is made, 2.9 of 10 it goes incomplete, and like 0.01 out of 10 the guy makes a simultaneous hit/INT like he did.

REED Isn't Questioning Whether a Catch was Made Last Night, REED is Wondering How "By the Letter of the Law" a "Football Move" was Made Last Night, Whereas Dez Bryant WASN'T Ruled to have Made Said Move, vs. the Packers???...

If Leaping In the Air, Coming Down w/the Rock & Both Feet INBOUNDS, Followed by a LUNGE to the Goal Line DOESN'T Constitute a 'Football Move', what DOES???...

A 'football move' did not have to be made last night because the ball never touched the ground on the Kearse catch.

The rule that made Bryant's catch incomplete may be a dumb one, but it is the rule. Time to let it go.

    The "Rule" was MISAPPLIED...

Dez was In POSSESSION of the Ball as he Landed w/Both Feet Inbounds...He Then Made a CLEAR "Football Move" by Lunging to the End Zone...By that Point, he'd ALREADY Caught the Ball...

What Needs to Be "Let Go" is the Dumbass Rule Itself, which WILL Be Revised Before Next Season Begins, GUARANfuckingTEED...Why, Because Everybody KNOWS Dez Bryant Caught the Ball...
