Man, I don't get excited for fights the way I used to, but I will actually get excited to watch fights I didn't get to see when they first happened.

Case in point: Buster Douglas vs Oliver McCall

DAMN! Buster was in shape and threw nice combinations. He made McCall back up at times, and he fought in a really relaxed way. McCall seems nervous, tense, and irritable. Both of them showing signs of what could happen down the road.

Buster had no fear in him. McCall had that adamantium chin.

I watched Renaldo Snipes vs Berbick for the first time a couple of months ago. A true hidden gem as they brawled from start to finish. Hw is not too exciting currently (and its been like this for a while unfortunately) but there's still some good fights from time to time if you don't mind the lower skillset. Recently, Charles Martin vs King Kong Ortiz was a real banger with a crazy finish.

Just went and looked at it. Indeed, Douglas looked very good. It's been a while since I've looked at a HW fight from the 80-90. How weird is it to see HW that can actually box ?!!

I thought the same thing. Slipping punches, accurate shots and crisp counters, consistent workrate, nice clean exchanges etc. Light years
above the dross that gets served up today.

Douglas's lopsided victory over McCall is one of the most underrated wins in history because no one ever talks about it despite this being the match that gets him the Tyson fight

LMAO. It's true. Every generation complains abouit the next not being good enough. I used to think Tyson Fury was a joke who uppercutted himself. Now he's a longtime champion. I'd love to see him handle a prime Tua or Ibeabuchi.
