Ozark - Trailer/Discussion

Thing is, a lot of shows that are highly rated I've not seen:
House Of Cards
Breaking Bad
Game Of Thrones
Orange Is The New Black
Better Call Saul
Etc, etc...so I can't compare.

Plus, the thought of getting into shows with 3-4 seasons of 10-15 episodes each is just daunting to me...

 

I heard a lot about BB over the years but never bothered since I figured it would be just a lot of coughing...then I watched it and rest is history. BEST SHOW EVER.

 

You're ARGUING AGAIN! But I will take BB seasons 1 and 2 over Ozark 1. I'll watch season 2 for sure but man Bateman....maybe my brain just type cast him and it's hard to buy into it...idk

 

Watch BB you will finish the whole thing in a month tops. It's like crack.

 

And WTF is orange doing with these other ones LMAO...its a chick show. My ex made me watch season 1...its such garbage. Don't even bother or I will kick yo ass

Problem is, I cant binge-watch.
My attention-span is fucking shit.
I watch 2-3 episodes in one go....tops.

I watched series one of Narcos in about 3 weeks and even though it was great, Ive not started series two yet...and its been 2 weeks already, hence my starting with a new series in Ozark.

 

Same here season 1 of narcos and even though I liked it but it didn't hook me..HOOK me...BB did big time. Bryan Cranston is amazing in it...trust me BB is the best show ever.

 

Anthony tell him BB is the best show ever made...

 

I´ll start watching it then.

 

BTW, one of my all-time favorite TV shows ever is The Prisoner from the late 60s....that shit was weird-as-fuck but utterly compelling....I watched the repeats of it in te 80s and back then you could only watch one episode per week (still have no idea what it was all about either):

The Wire I remember binge-watching season 1 when I was sick back in 2008-09 and I got to episode 9.....and everything made sense.
Very fucking clever show, that and full of diverse-characters that to this day, I dont think has been topped....

Never saw any other seasons though....

 

I think The Wire got targeted for ´a show that only white folks watch´,

 

Lots of talk on this thread. Haven't read the responses yet. Just finished the origin story episode which was completely unnecessary and put a big grinding halt to a story that had a lot of steam going for it.

Otherwise I really like the show. 2 Episodes left to watch.

Watch the first 2 seasons of House of Cards, which are excellent, then stop after that. The series regressed starting in season 3.

 

Finished it. Bateman was perfect for the role. No, he's no Cranston (and I haven't even seen Breaking Bad), but there's no shame in that. Different character from what I can see. Plays to his strengths.

Obviously the story is not done, with lots of loose ends. This family can sure paint themselves into a fucking corner though. Jesus Christ, LOL!

Thought the kids were actually pretty good. The daughters character improved as the story went on, and the boy was always pretty interesting.

Laura Linney, I've always had a weird feeling about. She's generally pretty overbearing and annoying in just about everything she's in........but that's what she's good at, and what the directors want from her characters.
