    McFarland's lone title shot of his career, vs. fellow HoFer Welsh in England. Despite taking the fight to Welsh all night long, McFarland was deprived of the title with a draw and never received another shot. Today, McFarland is generally regarded as one of the best LWs ever and one of the best fighters at any weight to never win a title.

    Notice also that there's no ref in the ring.
