Why is this guy a star? The UFC said he was, Paddy said he was and the fans have just accepted it. They go crazy for this guy, he obviously has groupies the UFC is pushing him while simultaneously protecting him with pushover fights and I ask again; why is he a star? Is it because he’s good looking? He ain’t bad, but ain’t the handsomest guy in the UFC. Is it because he does his crappie dancing before matches? Impossible, it can barely be considered dancing since he’s just jumping up and down and moving his arms up and down. It makes what Hamed used to do look like MC Hammer by comparison. So what it is it? Because it’s certainly not his fighting. Yeah he has a couple stoppages in the UFC and a submission but it’s against subpar competition and even then it’s not like he’s dominating. He’s squeaking these things out and his last match could have gone either way. It’s not just that he’s not dominating but I don’t even see any real talent or skill here. He has zero defensive ability in standup and couldn’t even slip looping left hooks that kept landing flush in his face. He said Connor McGregor inspired him to be a fighter and that’s just what he looks like, like a guy who watched UFC and said I can do that and despite the fact he has no natural fighting ability the UFC hyped him up and made him a star because he’s McGregor’s countryman. Fucking sheeple will do whatever they’re told and they seem to have latched on to this guy just because they need a star to root for. So to those fans I say: enjoy watching him eek out a few meaningless victories up until when he loses his first fight and then another and another. Hopefully by then the UFC will have found a real star deserving of the opportunities being foisted on PP and will have moved on because there’s no way this guy will ever get into top ten status much less earn a title shot.
Lol what!!! never would have imagine someone would consider him remotely close to good looking. He looks like a fucking cretin but that's undoubtedly a big part of his appeal.
Funny thing is he’s almost like a female movie star. You see him around fight time with the weight cut he looks pretty good. Catch him any other time on social media looking like Ricky Fatton and he looks terrible. In fact that’s another indication he’s a fraud—how much he blows up between fights which indicates he isn’t exactly working hard to be great.
Never saw him fight to he honest, but just by his gimmick and the way he s marketed, can pretty much guarantee that he's indeed a fraud
He's good at self promotion and the UFC recognizes it so they hype him as well. His style is not boring. He strikes a lot and also gets hit a lot. He's oozing with confidence and has a decent back story (turned down the UFC three times until he felt he was ready.) He is the type that people tune in to see. Half to cheer for him and half to see him get KTFO.
