LOK could take Chuck in a straight up boxing match. Chuck's a kickboxer, they don't even emphasize proper technique with their hands, they're just more interested in trying to throw a hard punch no matter how ugly the technique nor how open they are to counters. Chuck's just got an inflated ego cause he beat up on a few 'wrestlers' and thinks he's hot sh*t, believing in his own hype.

I do believe with all my heart I'd KO Chuck in a boxing match..

I even like my chances in a MMA match cuz he likes to box, I have never seen him choke out peopel so I dont know that his ground game is all that good anyway

What is it with kickboxing? I mean there is no logical reason on God's Earth that somoene can't learn how to kick very well and punch very well. Furthermore arts like Bando and Muy Thai that really integrate boxing type punches and kicks seem to do a good job of using these weapons well.

Yet kickboxing always seems to equal bad punching and really bad kicking. As bad as the punching is the kicking is worse BTW. Most kickboxers I see can't even get the knee parallel for a good Muy Thai round kick.

If somoene were to get his shit together and really lern how to kick properly they could clean a lot of clocks in the MMA Arena right now. :dunno:

No way to know that without him fighting in the UFC. Tony Jaa is a bad little dude in REAL life not just movies. He might then again he might not.

very quick question, can somebody tell me(staff, lok) if the Tennis Channel has finished its live tennis coverage for the day? Federer's supposed to be playing today. Is ESPN2 showing anything right now? I'm at work so I don't know. I have my DVR recording at home.

Federer with a tennis racket would beat Fedor. Not many can swing a racket as hard as Federer. That'd be like hitting somebody with a baseball bat.

I never mentioned his defense, or lack of it.

They really never went toe to toe in the second fight. Rampage landed the looping right at will in the first fight and what does chuck do? Fucking goes straight backwards!

But that's how Chuck always fights. Don't tell me you didn't know how flawed Chuck's stand up was until now? Even non-boxing fans were calling it, Z. He's not a professional boxer, he's a half-assed kickboxer with some wrestling skills. He was never taught how to throw and slip punches at the professional level. Trust me, if he ever tried going toe to toe with a ToughMan fighter in Butterbean, he would be put down very quickly. Don't ever imagine what a world class pro would do to him. It wouldn't be pretty.

It's amazing how quickly MMA fighter's bandwagons empty after a loss. We've seen it happen to Hughes, GSP, Arlovski, Cro Cop, and now Liddell.

Losing is one thing, but to get completely KTFO is another. And getting KTFO is not acceptable in today's world.

To a degree, yes. Mike Tyson was one boxer who always was given a second chance. Everytime he got KTFO, people would brush it off with a simple "He wasn't focused" or "He was on drugs" or "He was past his prime".:dunno: I'd say Tyson was given at least 6 chances. Even if he came back now, people would be saying "If he gets in shape he can KTFO anybody!"
Those Tyson fanatics were something else.

    You know Hanzy..

I do think Mike could still KO a lot of guys.. lol

you know.. I was talking to a friend about the Chuck Lidell fight.. I said how he is "terrible" as a striker and that how every fight I've watched I always am amazed at how sloppy he is and how open he is..

Then my friend said "Chuck is not TERRIBLE by any means.. Tyson was thought to be good too but then it was shown he is easy to outbox"

now.. to me this is crazy.. Mike was a honest PHENOM as a kid coming up.. he had legit skills..

I'm not denying the fact that Tyson was indeed a phenomenon with incredible skills. I'm just saying he was given a lot of chances. 99% of fighters in any sport wouldn't get as many chances as Tyson.

Actually Chuck Liddell was always known to be a sh*t striker on his feet by anybody who had a clue about stand up. Only morons thought he was all that. I always thought he was incredibly flawed, not only on his feet but on the ground too.
