    I don't mean to be a pest...and I shouldn't even respond, but I have to say that I don't know why people like war films. Terrible genre IMO.

    But, at school, when you were a kid, you´d play with all the other boys at war and armies, right....in the playground.
    Right?

    I´d also look into why war movies are and have been massively popular for say, oooohhhh, the last 50-60 years...

    They are pretty depressing. I think that's why I like apocalyse now most out of them since it's the least 'gritty' and realistic/most stylized and alegoric

    I'm a sucker for a good war movie. I'll also throw in the old cliche that most war movies are actually anti-war movies.

    That said, there's plenty of shitty war movies out there to.
