In this matchup I mean that a PRIME Mancini moves up to 140. Ray was a BIG lightweight, and I think he coulda handled 140 fine. He woulda had to move up to 140 to face Pryor. Now, Pryor would have hammered him, but Hatton is no Pryor. So who wins?
Fan-Friendly Fight...A More SKILLFUL Version of Gatti-Ward, but NO Less Exciting...REED Looooooooved "Boom Boom" Mancini, but @ the End of the Day, Hatton was BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER & More ATHLETIC... Sure, Kostya Tszyu was a Tad PAST his Prime, but Hatton Very Much CONTROLLED Tszyu in the Pocket...REED Couldn't See ANY Version of Mancini Getting the Better of a POCKET Battle w/the Kostya that Hatton DEALT w/... GREAT Slugfest, Mancini Would have his Moments, BOTH Men would Likely BLEED, but Hatton STOPS Mancini Somewhere in the 10th-12th... REED
agREED, I think it could go all the way, I just think it'd be a bridge too far, size-wise, for Mancini Hatton would weight 148 on the night of the fight, when you combine that with his ability to use his size to maul a guy and tire him out, I think Ray just has too much difficulty keeping him off
I agree with REED. Hatton is simply bigger, stronger, faster. It's not like Mancini is going to outslick Hatton, and he doesn't have the firepower to knock him out. Pretty easy pick to me, but it would be a fun fight.
