i'm with you. i do the exact same thing. i had trouble though figuring out how ODH would look against PBF. mostly, i watch ODH/Mosley I, figuring that would be the closest thing. turns out, PBF wasn't half as aggressive as Mosley had been so it was a much different fight even though ODH was coming forward in both. for PBF i watched mainly his fight with Baldomir and his second Castillo fight.
Don't be surprised... When refering to Mosley-DLH II, Double said... "Mosley fought like Jeff Lacy and Oscar fought like Sal Sanchez."
i'm talking about the first ODH/Mosley fight. Mosley DID fight like Lacy in the second ODH/Mosley fight. don't deny it. as far as ODH, he definitely did box nicely in that fight, though probably not quite on a par with Sal Sanchez.
Do you mean Mosley pressed the action all night because Oscar constantly retreated? Isn't that the reason you so vehemently disputed Oscar's loss to Floyd? Double L..."Oscar fought like Jeff Lacy. Floyd fought like Sal Sanchez." :blobbox:
"closest thing." do i say it's a "close thing?" or that it's "close?" or do i say, the, "closest thing?" and obviously, it's somewhat closer than others seeing as how ODH elected to spar with Mosley in preparation. and also, ODH came forward in both fights. actually, ODH's performance against Coley is probably the closest thing there is to ODH/PBF. Coley's punches were thrown with a listlessness and futility not unlike those of PBF.
when and where have I vehemently disputed Oscar's loss to Floyd? :: and besides, ODH was much more effective offensively in the rematch with Mosley than PBF ever was against ODH.
it is retarded of Oscar to get shane to mimic Floyd also.. I like Shane and I like floyd but they are drastically different style wise
They're both really fast though and the same height and same reach, except Shane hits harder and he's physically stronger.
I used to rewatch fights all the time but haven't done it in a long time. Sometimes I will watch a fight for the second time when they replay it on HBO or it's on demand. I haven't watched a fight lately that makes me wanna watch it again. opcorn: for years i've been wanting to transfer my vhs fights to dvd and just haven't got around to it.
...longer you wait, the shittier they'll be. a tape that is just 5 years old looks like complete shit compared to one that was made yesterday. i'd move em as soon as possible. especially the ones you care about.
Ditto for REED... REED'll Watch the LAST Fight Each Guy Had,their BEST Fight, their WORST Fight, then a Bout Featuring a Stylistic SIMILARITY to their Future Opponent... It Helps ALOT when Formulating a Prediction... REED
Not @ All... "Check the Resume" - Grand Puba Maxwell... U "However",REALLY SUCK @ Being Photographed... REED
dsimon writes: Dude Best Buy on Masonic and Geary. You can get a combo unit that records for under 150 (slightly better quality than Costco), or you can give your money to Osfan::
dsimon writes: Taylor didn't win that fight any more than Stinks lost it. Stinks would have gotten the nod if he didn't give the 12th away. I thought that picture was the Halcion kid!
I got a LG one from the other Best Buy around the South of Market/Potrero Hill area. It was pretty pricey, but it's a good one.
Never get a combo, they will break after 5 recording sessions!! Just have an extra VHS player and buy a standalone DVD Recorder. I just got one from Toshiba that plays Divx and upconverts with HDMI for $120:bears:
Spinks vs Jorge Vaca. I love seeing Spinks exhibit his power. He doesn't do that so much anymore. I don't know why.
