In fairness, the fight between Roy and Mike means that the sport is in the gutter, and that tends to attract gutter-sentiments.

This fight is a fraud and is demeaning, and it runs from there, fish rots from the head down etc.

The sheer irony of asking two black Grandfathers, both decades, actual DECADES removed from their primes, to battle it out for a cash payment they both desperately need, despite earning VAST fortunes.......and then branding it "Black Lives Matters"..........is unintentionally hilarious.

If Black Lives Mattered, to the WBC, to Don King, to Murad Muhammad, to Squared Ring promotions {Roys own company} etc etc etc, then this fight would never be taking place.

It's a cynical exercise, and so it attracts cynicism.

Roy has been the victim of some of the most chillingly brutal 1 punch KO's the game has seen in recent years. Real face-first stuff. Mike's last installment was fat Kevin leaning on him and reducing Mike to a squatting bleeding mess.

And THAT was 15 years ago. Mike is further removed from his last fight than most careers are long.

And the only way Roy survives in there is if this fight is in the tank.
