How does Garcia do against one of the better names on Tszyu ' s resume? Mitchell was a pretty slick fighter. As long as he had the advantage in speed (he usually did) he was tough for fighters to figure out. This was especially true at 140. And Garcia isn't at his best when he's left to fight as the aggressor. Who wins?
difficult fight to pick Mitchell was fast but he was also a bit fragile and not very bright in general... a lot of flash but not a lot of thought behind it Garcia is underwhelming in practically every aspect of the game, yet he keeps winning fights... He's overcome unorthodox speed (Khan), a veteran southpaw (Judah) and crunching power and pressure (Matthysse) ... Would Mitchell beat all three? I wouldn't consider it a lock, personally, but I think he certainly COULD beat all three (in particular the old Judah that Garcia unimpressive-ly decisioned) ... Hard fight to pick but, as ho-hum as he is, Garcia keeps surprising me and Mitchell never won a big fight he was in... Gun to my head, I'd probably put my money on Garcia
I would confidently pick Mitchell, but the guy had a mediocre chin. For that reason, I could see Danny hurting him enough times to take it. If Mitchell's chin somehow stands up well to Danny's power, then he wins a decision.
I would pick Garcia fairly confidently. Mitchell wasn't that good really. In fact it's hilarious he is one of the better names on Tszyu's resumé, and further evidence of Tszyu's overratedness. Lucas would beat Mitchell too. I agree with cdogg, he's not even a lock to beat Khan and old Judah, not at all.
Sharmba Mitchell had the TALENT to Beat Danny Garcia, but he was FLAKY as Hell...Meanwhile, Garcia Continues to Be 1 of the Most Impressively UNIMPRESSIVE Fighters REED's Ever Seen... Even as he was Building his Record, @ the Beginning of his Career, REED was NEVER Wow'ed by Garcia... Garcia BEATS Mitchell Though...Not Sure How, but Garcia is a Guy that Finds Ways to WIN Fights, Whereas Mitchell Always Found Ways to LOSE Them... REED:kidcool:
