I don't think in my mind Cotto would be as dominated by Brown as he was against Pacquiao but the result is the same, late stoppage

You must be out of your minds. You are talking about the Simon Brown that fucking Vincent Pettway put him to sleep on the canvas? Cotto outboxes Brown from the start and stops him by the 7th round. Cotto was no fucking clumsy ego driven Terry Norris.

In my mind, Simon Brown is kind of like the Canelo that Cotto fought. If you throw one punch and move, or two and move, he can't get set to counter. We saw this in the McGirt fight, with Simon. But if you stand and look for the third punch or the fourth punch, he is going to counter you. When Buddy McGirt beat Simon Brown, he fought a perfect fight and it was the best night of his life and there were still some tough rounds.
I don't know if Cotto can stick to a plan as well as Buddy did that night. He might very well hold his own or even win in fire fights with Brown, butr I don't think that a fight like that would serve Cotto in the long run.
