i dont know why people keep talking about Elba. Craig aint going anywhere anytime soon and by the time he does, elba will be in his mid 50s. I also dont seem him as smooth in anyway. If a black bond was going to happen, they had their chance with Colin Solimon and lost it.

btw, i disagree with people saying elba carries his age well. The man is 42 and looks 52.

Now bout Joey Calz as the new Bond?

Well that's not going to happen, because he has signed on for another movie after Spectre. He will be bond to at least 2020. And the possibility of him signing on for more is high.

An almost forgotten fact is that the role of Bond almost went to Hugh Jackman. He was the #1 candidate for 'Casino Royale', but turned it down. Now he is willing to tackle the role as his next movie 'The Wolverine' will be his last as that character.

    Jackman is no Bond.

If anything, Bale would be a better Bond than Jackman.

Jackman might have been a good Bond 10 years ago. Not now.

One thing about Bond One thing about bomb is that he was never a huge star before he became bond. So the odds of a huge Actor taking over the role is slim

Roger Moore had a solid career in both movies and tv before he became Bond. To me personally he was always Simon Templar from 'The Saint' and had a hard time swallowing that he was James Bond since NO ONE could be Bond, but Sean Connery. It took me until The Spy Who Loved Me to accept him as Bond.

Ok. Like I said, bond was never played by a huge star. Nothing you said changed that

Ironic given that Live And Let Die, the first of Moore's seven outings, is now considered the best work he did as Bond...

Roger Moore pre-Bond was as huge a star as Hugh Jackman now. Everybody knew him from The Saint a hit tv show that lasted seven seasons, plus all the movies he made.

His movies were never huge and he was more known for his TV show. Just like Bronson was known for his TV shows. He was more TV than movies. Moore was Not even close to being on jackman's level pre bond. Not even 30%.

Skyfall was good. But Daniel Craig should be shown the door already. He's old and looks/acts tired and disinterested. The most bored-looking Bond ever.

Jackman is known by the public only as Wolverine. Most audience members don't even know his name nor care much for him in other roles. Roger Moore was a big international name due to his three popular tv characters (Ivanhoe, Maverick & Simon Templar). Bond put him on another level, but his face was very familiar to most audience members unlike Pierce Brosnan who was just a co-star to Stephanie Zimbalist in Remington Steele, a show that run for 5 seasons that was not a big ratings winner. From Remington Steele to Bond there was a time lapse of 8 years and his only role of recognition at that point was that of the hunk rival of Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire

The talk in Tinseltown now is of Tom Brady as Bond. But he has deflected those rumors just as that. Meanwhile bookies in London have red haired character actor Damian Lewis as the lead contender for replacing Craig as Bond.

Meanwhile the powerful LGBT community GLAAD is pushing for a Lesbian Jane Bond surrounded by trannies 'babes'. Pierce Brosnan was quoted saying there will never be a gay Bond as audiences will reject that. This remarks offended LGBT community who tagged Brosnan comments as 'old fashion bigotry'.

Says who? Of all the James Bond movies that is the single one that has dated badly and is most politically incorrect. The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only ranks higher than Live and Let Die. The only two things that film has above the other is the Oscar winning song by Paul McCartney AND Jane Seymour, the most beautiful Bond girl ever and the only one who did not wore a bikini.

The Spy Who Loved Me was good....For Your Eyes Only was utter wank: you only need to watch the hilarious first 5 minutes of Blofeld, in a fucking wheelchair with his daft white cat, on the rood of a disused building: how did he get there? where are all his henchmen? :dunno:
    Ridiculous.

    And shit.

    Plus, you missed The Persauders!

that was classic Moore Bond campiness, put there as a 'last hurrah' to that kind of goofiness, but the rest of the film was an attempt to tone down the overuse of gadgets that plagued all previous Bond films from the Moore and latter Connery period and go back to the more serious plot with lots of awesome physical stunts. Even Siskel & Eber gave it thumps up and called its stunts 'the best since two weeks ago' (when "Raiders of The Lost Ark' wowed audiences with the best stunt sequences ever put on film at the time).

Despite the fact that you are wrong that an academy award nominee for best actor in a movie that has made almost 500 mil world wide is not known outside of x-men, knowing someone just from the x-men movies is still bigger than moore since more people have seen the x-men movies than all of Moore's movies combined.

But hugh jackman is pretty well known outside of the x-men series.

    The prestige
    Les Miserables
    Swordfish
The Tony Awards (gays know him)
    Prisoners

Moore was never and will never be in the league of Hugh Jackman who has established himself as an A plus movie star. something Moore could only do while as bond, but after bond, never took off again. Jackman will be fine outside of bond and like i said, already has a nomination for best actor. Something moore will never get. And this is me speaking as a fan of moore who is my favorite bond.

Okay, you are right on all accounts. You win the lawsuit.

Here is my favorite melody from the "Live & Let Die" soundtrack abum 'San Monique' by George Martin in the first Bond film that John Barry did not wrote the score.
