I have 2: You know how you'll occasionally get into a discussion about an upcoming fight with a mainstream fan, and he'll give you the usual mainstream point of view and you'll eat him alive with your boxing knowledge? Well a mainstreamer hit me up the other day and I couldn't say shit. His argument was Cotto had no chance in this fight. I said the usual line how Cotto was a live dog and all but this mainstreamer stuck to his guns and I really couldn't form a valied argument against it. I eventually just shut up and let him have the last word. Turns out it was the right decision. :: My 2nd story is why I missed the fight. I work night shifts and my weekend started this Friday. So I went to bed on Friday but only slept about 4 hrs. So I get up Sat morning at 7am. I try to take a nap at 130 and plan to get up at 330 to go watch the fight at a casino. When 330 rolls around I don't feel like getting up and in my mind have no problem waiting a week and watching the HBO replay. Especially since I knew the undercard wasn't shit and that there'd be a great rd by rd on Fightbeat. Anyone else got any?
Hey man I'm used to it. Before I found this casino that regularly shows PPV boxing, I refused to buy PPV's on my own dime anyway, so it's not that big of a deal. Even now I don't regret my decision.
