Just read the shit on the homepage that the WBA gave Wladimir Sidorenko the "Super Champ" title. Does that mean the WBA is going to give its "regular" title to someone else? And what about an interim title holder? Does anyone know what the specifics on becoming a "superchamp" is? Does the WBA even outline what it takes to become one? They gave him some award for defending his title 5 fucking times:doh: Man this shit irritates me:flip: ::
Damn. First off, I thought the WBA claimed they were doing away with the Super champ stuff, that only its current claimants would be grandfathered in. But beyond that, I thought you at least had to unify with another alphabet titles. Not sure what the requirements are now, if Sidirenko is receiving such honors. Making it to 20 wins without a loss? 5 title defenses (though apparently enough to earn him the prestigious Eder Jofre title :: )? Finally scoring a knockout for the first time since Christ left Chicago? Being El Terrribleee's favorite bantamweight? :dunno:
I thought the same thing, about being a unified/undisputed champ. I wonder if Sidorenko sits around with his boys laughing about it. He has to know its a fucking joke.
My guess would be, he was the only WBA titlist willing to fly to China for the convention. :: I´m sure it is not an actual belt you can defend, just an honouring of sorts. The WBO did it for Calzaghe/Dariusz after 10 or 20 title defenses.
