I'm mainly surprised that Tank is fighting Martin over Rayo because the latter matchup is more marketable. Frank Martin is a nobody. Rayo is at least known in Latin boxing fan circles, and his KO of Colbert was widely circulated on social media so many people recognize him for that. The opponent himself is okay. Martin's no elite fighter, but he's also not a bum. However, I fully expect Tank to dust him.
Im actually intrigued by this. Martin is by no means an elite fighter but he’s no pushover either. It would have been nice to have seen Shakur vs Martin but this will do.
Tank groupies saying he’s the FACE of boxing…..after the big buy rate for the Ryan fight. Now we will see…I don’t expect anything near those numbers. but 350-400k for the face of boxing should be doable…
I’m still skeptical. This isn’t Team Tank’s style. They like opponents who are limited come forward fighters. Martin is nothing special, but he has the ability to make it a stinker and take it to the cards, possibly. I was fully expecting Rayo.
