I don't like the time period of the movie at all. I don't want to see a struggling and newly fighting crime Batman. The movie is horribly miscast.

I don't know why Ben Affleck quit the role after a relatively short period playing it. Probably his personal problems (divorce, drinking addiction) took a toll on him, but he was a better choice than Robert Pattison who looks too skinny and too EMO.

They went a different direction for newer movies with Pattinson.

Affleck (as Batman) will be in the Flash movie alongside Keaton. The movie is tying ALL DC movies and tv shows together.

As far as I understand it is the same director with the same script that Affleck turned down after initially agreeing to.

This was very good. Personally I think it’s the second best Batman movie after The Dark Knight. It’s typical Batman fare, dark theme, lots of drama with the occasional cool action sequences. This is just a different take on it but a good one at that. So check it out…or don’t.

I heard is like 3 hours long. I will wait for the Redbox release as I no longer have the endurance to sit at a movie theater for 3 hours straight and then drive home for 40 minutes.

No point in going to the movies to see it now. It'll be dropping on HBO Max in 2 weeks, so I'll be watching it then.

it's alright, like a detective movie...while watching i was even wondering if the script was originally written for a batman movie
but it's probably better they went this route rather than doing more of the same

i don't think it has much replay value though

I saw it yesterday, and fully agree with RWTP. It was good for one viewing, but unlike TDK, it doesn't have much replay value.

I think Colin Farrell had far and away the best performance in the film, but the penguin wasn't given enough air time (I think they're doing a spinoff).

Paul Dano, I was kinda disappointed in his Riddler performance tbh. I think he tried to channel the same kind of performance he gave in There Will Be Blood, but he didn't come anywhere close.

It was overall a good movie though. Missed the mark of being great.

The Dark Knight Rises was also just a good movie that missed the mark of achieving greatness...and it also had a forgettable Catwoman, but Bane was memorable.

The Dark Knight Rises was a good movie up until the very end. The ending was FUCKING HORRIBLE! Bane went out with a complete whimper, which at all fit the character Hardy/Nolan had built for the first 2 n half hours.

But yeah, Hardy's performance was brilliant enough that he carried the movie and made it watchable.

With a lesser Bane, it would have been a bad movie.

Zoe and Hathaway both did a good job as Catwomen....Zoe more in the fight scenes, attitude and demeaner and Hathaway in the acting...

The dialogue in this one was SHIIITTT....still a good Batman movie...

Talk about no replay value. I saw TDKR in the movies and never watched it again. I agree Hardy’s performance was outstanding but unlike Ledger’s great portrayal of the Joker in TDK, TDKR failed to put a good movie around the Bane character even going so far as to lazily off him in a manner befitting one of his henchmen.

TDKR was great because they actually killed off Bruce Wayne

It was not real. It was Alfred’s imagination.

It was what he talked about earlier in the movie. When he wanted Wayne to move on.

Him dying makes it great. He made the ultimate sacrifice.

How could anyone think Bruce Wayne could survive that bomb? It’s impossible. He didn’t have time to plan it because it was last minute.
