Well most of those are Comedies, but im not sure you have seen any of them, because most of these are really good.

Hello Ladies - 30 minute Comedy series which is fucking hilarious.
The Comeback - 30 minute comedy, again, very funny
How to make it in America- 30 minute comedy, Loved this show, and dont know many people who didnt.
The No. 1 Ladies - Miniseries which is actually and suprisingly quite good. Nice performance by Jill scott
Summer Heights High - 30 minute comedy, very funny.
Tell me you love me - Drama - Very very good and interesting
K street - 30 minute comedy and sucked
The high life - Never saw it.

So basically you have 90% 30 minute comedies, which cant be compared to a Drama. Not only that, most of them are good. Just because they didnt get ratings means nothing. HBO is a different animals when ratings are concerned. I would even go so far as to say you have not seen most of these shows.

New and Final season. Caught the first two episodes. Very good. Nice cameo by Mark Linn-Baker in the last episode.

Old thread, but I'll give it to Panchy. I couldn't get into a single one of those shows that he mentioned either. But that applies to every network. Not every show on a single network is going to work for everybody.

Yeah it's great. Nora seems so fucking confident nothing happened spiritually. But what happened to her kids.

Rapture is post tribulation...there is no other possible doctrine. Most seem to think it's pre-trib..but that's just wishful thinking. Christ clearly said that it would happen immediately after the great tribulation.

By the way the most realistic portrayal of the rapture in film so far was in the film "Knowing".

I don't think it's that so much, as her seeing all these other people taking advantage of The Departure as charlatans. Every time she see's a sign of hope for herself (like Lily), she has it yanked away from her and she's brought back to reality.

She sees herself as saving these people from the hope that has destroyed her life. She also doesn't think they deserve to share in the pain she experienced if it's not an actual departure type situation. That's why she relishes her job in debunking claims of departure.

She also had sympathy for the Mark Linn-Baker character once she actually met him. He could actually relate to her, in a way that no one else could. She thought he was being taken advantage of by these people, but deep down inside she still has hope she will see her kids one day.......and she will drop Kevin in a second if that ever comes to pass.

What do you think? Does she see her kids one day? Is Kevin a messiah? Clearly Kevin cant die in Miracle.

I don't think Kevin is a messiah and I also don't think they will wrap it all up in one neat little bow at the end either. I think Kevin is a misdirection. I think it's possible he may be one of many within Miracle chosen to be "Unbreakable", as it were. He's just the one the minister and the main characters are most familiar with, and that's why they've picked HIM for their new bible.

Other things have also been known to come back to life. Didn't we get birds being resurrected last season?

I don't think we've seen the last of the "Guilty Remnant" either. Not all, but a select few may make an appearance before the season is up. I think Evie may be one of them.

I have no idea if Nora will see her kids or not. Likely she will get closure is some form or another though.

Well dont forget that he will be going back in time again. They show his father drowning him in upcoming episodes so i think he will be doing some changing.

Dont mind him. That's magus just accidentally revealing that he is intrigued and will begin watching the show only to pretend he hates it. But he has to know what's going on now.

The film was suggesting that they were Aliens or Angels depending upon your perspective. Angels are higher life forms that come from the heavens after all. Therefore, as a Christian, I saw these aliens as angels who came to gather the elect. That's how it will happen according to the scriptures: Angels from the four winds gathering the elect (reaping at harvest) before God destroys most of the place. It will be a few and it will be hardly noticed and will come at the end of tribulation and just before God's wrath.

This fantasy that most Christians have about 1/10th of people suddenly vanishing into thin air and leaving planes falling from the sky and cars crashing etc...is utter absolute nonsense.

    Dude....

Even if you don't believe in the Bible and even if the Bible is proven to be pure fallacy...we can still argue about what we believe it is saying.

People have deep arguments on mythical matchups right here on this forum....intense arguments about fights that would never happen. Geeks argue about who would win between Superman and the Silver Surfer.

This aint anything new. If you don't believe in the rapture and you find it a silly discussion feel free to stay away from the topic.

    Dude...

I restarted the goddamn topic from a dead 3 year-old thread.

Whether I believe or not, I often find artistic interpretations of bible based (I'll call it mythology), fascinating. There's tons of movies with Christian or Old Testament ideas in them that I really like or love.

I just think it's funny, you and Panchy going back and forth (especially Panchy) with "This is the way it will happen", "No, this is the way it will happen"...........like if it is a thing, anybody knows anything for sure.

To me, the wild swings of interpretation of the bible into an art form, is what's immensely interesting to me. I don't think there is any right or wrong answer for most things theological.
