ACTUALLY that's any of the Elitist fools on the MM forum that claim a modern day fighter could have never survived in the 15 round world.
Was there really any point? Like any sensible human being, Ramone is going to pick good old Johnson any which way.
Please. How many times have you read: "He has a chance over 12 but over 15 rounds he gets stopped" ::
I'd say Lewis would lose this one in camp. We know he had a bad habbit of dogging it in training. Johnson, as was common amongst pugilists and pedestrians of his day, trained on a diet is beef or mutton; his drink, strong ale; and he was gradually inured to exercise by repeated trials in walking or running. (from Boxiana)
Did it mention his coolness of disposition and temper and the highest order of courage, durability and ambition?
I haven't started reading about specific pugilists yet. The first chapter is all about proper training habits (it's fucking amazing, everyone should read it)
One thing that goes in Lewis's favour is that Johnson would be completely unprepared for Lewis's highest order of homosexuality, and dogging experience.
I've said that in matches between two 12 round guys as often as any other case. I don't think Saad Muhammad beats Roy Jones, but I would think his chances improve if he has an extra 9 minutes to try and land the desperation right hand, don't you? that would seem to be common sense But if you are looking for some example of me picking a 12 round guy to lose over a 15 round distance to a 15 round fighter just based on their being 12/15 fighters, you will be looking for the rest of your life Don't insult me by comparing me or anyone else to that moron Smegman He is the ONLY GUY I have ever seen on here pick a guy to win because he was a 15 round fighter fighting a 12 round fighter in a 15 round fight
Do you think after the fight, regardless who wins, the two boxers would share in drink and good cheer?
