Reed please, it's just hard to imagine Cormier bending down into one of Anthony Johnson's flush kicks ON GUARD, he had his snout twisted, but smiled like a cartoon hippo, it felt nice. Why is he the only person to take everything Anthony Johnson can knut, yet he'll drop it like Nicki Minaj if Jones or Gustaffson give him a kiss, soft strikers, better results,... it's annoying.

I picked Cormier because of a Tommish charm. Not a Tommish chin. I've no choice it appears, but to accept your version of events about the neck/mandible region, also, I think I'll go to the zoo today, and pat some of their smooth lizards, and, and maybe bottle feed a lamb.

 

Oezdemir / Jones would be a fun fight. He wanted to fight whoever won the main event. I think Gustafsson will get the next title shot unless the the Jones / Lesnar fight actually happens.

Reed please,...he hopes he gets beat yes, but 'trying to get him beat' by making him fight mandatories?... knup. If he forces him to face Jones at a catch weight in order to vacate the welterweight title and have two other welterweights fight for it, then yeah, that would be little bit suspicious. I know his game plan was to use his wrestling skills to avoid Maia's basic offensive play: single / double leg takedowns.....but the guy has legit one-shot power.
Get hit clean....and it's a wrap, yeah?

Maia is notoriously hard to catch clean but Woodley's punch output was woeful.

Mayweather-esque, woeful.

 

Could Maia have maybe...Oh I don't know,.. flicked out the odd push kick to even the rounds up? If Woodley threw nuthin, and still won on all the cards,... by christ Maia musta looked like a retard.

Not really - Muay-Thai isnt his forte at all - and so he just resorted to the low-percentage traditional jab instead.
I think Maia attempted 20-25 takedowns - and you could almost set your watch to it.
