For ONCE let's start talking about something besides Floyd and Manny. Thoughts on Loma and Santa Cruz. My thoughts are Loma is a first class technician, and took apart that Rican in methodical, surgeon like fashion. HOWEVER, I would give him a few more fights before I put him in with Nicholas Walters. Loma DOES get hit, and he can't afford to get hit like that against a puncher like Walters. It'd be a great fight though. Definitely worth seeing. My thoughts on Santa Cruz are always the same - he's an ABSURDLY overrated fighter, and looks to be very mediocre at 126. Not only would Walters and Loma commit homicide on Santa Cruz at 126, but Russell Jr. would beat the shit outta him, and even Mares might beat him. I fail to see the hype about Santa Cruz. He's like a higher workrate, but much less power version of the lightweight Rios.
I'm very much with you on Santa Cruz X, I don't get it with this guy. Looks fucking average. Seems ridiculously overrated. Chenko would turn him into Chanko Stew, it wouldn't even be a fight. Same with Walters.
Forget Loma. Like I said, Loma's son Russell would stop Santa Cruz. Never seen such a mediocre fighter in the lighter weights hyped the way Santa Cruz is.
Let Loma get all this fame and shine........just for Verdejo to come up 2-3 years from now and light his ass UP...
