I don't know that Sanchez was as confident in his chances against Pedroza as you are since he was never interested in making a Pedroza fight happen. That kinda bothers me when thinking about Sanchez's career. I have a hard time getting past there being a rival champ in the division who was on or near his level and Sanchez didn't want to prove who was the best. I know Sanchez died young, but there was never any serious talk of this fight happening (and I remember Pedroza wanting the fight).
That's probably as good a pair of champs in one division at the same time as there's ever been Would anyone strongly argue with either guy in the 126 top ten all time? Chandler/Pintor at Bantam was outstanding, too
Yep. That's another one that should have happened. Leonard and Hearns were also a great pair of rival champs in that time frame, but unlike the others, they actually fought to decide who was the real champ.
I don't know if any fighter is more underrated by casual fans/newbies than Michael Spinks. Many other greats are mostly unknown by casual and newbie fans. Spinks is known, because he was massacred by Tyson.
