The Prestige: One of the best movies of the 00's. Doesn't get enough recognition. Arlington Road: Same as above, only for the 90's. The Quick and The Dead: Not a "great" western, but it has more re-watchability than other Western of the 90's, save for Tombstone. Thats my humble opinion. V For Vendetta: Its the best "superhero/masked hero" movie of the 00's. Well, I take that back. The Dark Knight was better. But this movie is a helluva lot better than the rest. Clockers: Jake will back me up on this one. Others?
The Quick and The Dead was hideous... Gene Hackman chewed the scenery in a desperate bid to save it, but the film was beyond saving Tombstone is one of the corniest films with actual A-List stars I've ever seen. "HELL'S COMING WITH ME!!!!!" ... dumb
Ghost! LOVE that film. "Somewhere in Time" (Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour)- Those that have seen this little gem know what I'm talking about.
You must be a real joy to go to the movies with: Just sitting up there in the front row, screaming at the screen. "It's not real people, it's not real! Leonardo DiCaprio wasn't on The Titanic, Russell Crowe is NOT a Gladiator............Brad Pitt is dreamy as hell, but his representation of Achilles in Troy is a false interpretation of a character as it is set forth in Homer's epic masterpiece!"
:laugh11: Gridlock'd- with Tim Roth and Tupac. Hilarious movie. Summer Of Sam- Excellent imo. Sorcerer- a classic with the great Roy Scheider. Red Rock West- 'Neo-noir' with Nic Cage and Dennis Hopper.
I don't go to those movies:nono: You have picked on just one aspect of why all of the above are shit films Tell me, did you think "The Quick And The Dead" was a good film?
Nah, it was average. You're a dour motherfucker sometimes though. :nono: I'm not really a fan of Tombstone either. :: I thought Costner's, "Wyatt Earp" was a superior film in every way.
:laugh11: I'm not trying to be dour though, I really dislike the things I say I dislike. No pretense.
