Let's say, following Forrest's surprise stomping of Mosley in their first meet, Tszyu abandons his Jr. Welter title to continue their Amateur history in the pro ranks. Each were different fighters & men in 2002, some ten years after their brief clash as Ams. What about this one over twelve at 147lbs?
Forget the ams, Forrest beats the hell outta him. Size differance too big, plus Forrest was at his very peak in 02 whereas Tszyu was started to slow a bit then.
Hard to say, Forrest has the size and reach advantages but it's hard to just ignore their amateur meeting, it was such a sublime performance from Tszyu. Forrest was completely taken to school.
What I mean to convey is that it was seen as an upset in the Boxing world. I actually picked Forrest myself in that fight, but most people thought that crazy thinking, which is why I class it as an upset.
REED Thinks Kostya Tszyu just had Forrest's #...Tszyu was PHYSICAL, a GOOD Counterpuncher & he Could BANG...There's a REASON he had his Way w/Forrest, EVERYTIME They Fought, just as Vernon had his Way w/Sugar Shane, Everytime they Fought... REED:mj:
Very well could be the case. I think it'd be easier to predict if we ever got to see Tszyu fight at welter.
