2 ATGs at featherweight known for their strength and power. Could Saldivar overcome the reach, clubbing power, and dirty style of Saddler?
I'd take Saldivar. I know I might get crucified for saying this, but I think Saddler was too crude for Saldivar. Also I don't think his mauling tactics would work as well, because Saldivar was a lot physically stronger than Pep, with way more firepower. Saldivar remains one of the most underrated all time greats.
I like Saddler here. He's got a serious range advantage, and unlike the others who held that advantage over Saldivar, he also has bone crushing power and one of the most suffocating inside games ever. I think when Saldivar squares up to bait something out, he'd find himself biting off more than he can chew. Sal's best chance is to rush Saddler and not let him set his feet, but I think if he tried that, over 15, he'd take too much damage to win convincingly.
