Out of the lot of Wlad, Parker, and Haye, I would rather see AJ fight Parker.

Wlad is too scared and too old to make anything interesting happen.

Haye would just run around after tasting one right hand from AJ.

Parker is at least young, undefeated, and would give it more of a go than the other two IMO.

Price is not that good, but he has the length to match Joshua and power. Chinny though. He could strike first and hurt AJ. Could just be another Gary Cornish.

Since it APPEARS Joshua was Willing to Face Wlad, REED Won't Complain Toooooooo Much...Price SUCKS for Sure, But It's DOUBTFUL Any Other Credble Foes Would Take the Fight, Less Than 2 Months Out...

2017 Should Be About Top 10-15 Opposition EXCLUSIVELY, However...

lol, AJ probably wasn't willing to face Wlad. This was an obvious smoke screen by Hearns and they would have find a way to nixed it.

From What's Been Said Here on Fightbeat, the Deal Breaker was Wlad Wanting the WBA to Also Sanction the Fight...Had NATHAN To Do with Joshua....

yeah, I said it before that Wlad is to blame for the discussion falling off. I still believe that Hearns would have find a way to nix the fight. The fact that AJ is actually considering a Price fight shows that his talk of stepping up his only smoke at this point.

This is so typical of UK ( and canadians) promoters. Promising a big name opponent only to get stuck with a bum. Or, as we say in french, the mountain has given birth to a mouse.

REED Understands Why You and Mr. Feebles are LEERY of Hearn, but REED Thinks Joshua Has a LEGITIMATE Desire to PROVE Himself @ the Highest Level...He's More Ricky Hatton, Carl Froch than Dariusz MichalSHITski, Sven Ottke, in REED's Opinion...

We'll Know For Sure By This Time 2017...

Makes sense wald is fighting Lucas Browne, cos Browne is immensely beatable, even by wald.

Though Browne can bang, so wald better watch that chinny chin chin.

    Unconfirmed but most likely.

Makes sense for wald to take on a lesser challenger, get a strap, then he has more leverage.

one German newspaper stated that wlad has Browne next and Boxrec had it pencilled in, but they've taken it down now. Nothing concrete either way, yet.

Hearn is a proven liar, Mister REED. I wouldn't trust him to tell us the time of day if I saw him look at his watch. There is NO way he risks his big cash cow this early, regardless of how 'keen' AJ might be.

Makes sense for Hearn to want to protect him.

But I think 2017 is due time for a step up. I think Parker is a legit opponent. That fight should be made.

Ortiz will be avoided for a while, that's for sure, but I think he might have a short reign due to his questionable conditioning. AJ better get him before somebody else does.

Fury is out of the picture for who knows how long... He'll probably fight against around this time next year unless he has another source of income.

Wlad is old and a pointless fight for AJ I think. He'll be too cautious and won't take risks.

Haye is old as well, and seems to have a following behind him that thinks he will TAKE OVER the heavyweight division, though I don't know why. What will prevent his toe from flaring up again when he tastes that first right hand from AJ? Why does this guy have fans, I ask?

What REED is Saying Is There'll Come a Time when Joshua's AMBITION Forces Hearn to Do Right By his Fighter, or Risk Losing Him...If Joshua WANTS to Test the Deeeeeeeeeeeper End of the Pool, REED Can't See Hearn Offering Much Resistance...

Maybe, but there is nothing that suggest that AJ is of the ambitious kind. Not saying he isn't, but so far, he seems very happy to beat up bums and enjoy his fame and money.

Eventually the time comes when Hearn has to throw his hat in the ring. Smell Brook's escapade against GGG is the classic example. Luckily for Hearn and AJ, HW is still as deep as a puddle on the street right now, so even the likes of Price or Chisora are a marked step-up in comp so far as AJ is concerned, so time is very much in their favour.

Parker is a viable foe for AJ, and would make for a good, INTERESTING fight for both with a lot of money to be made. Let's see how long it takes for that 'mandatory' to be made.

I wouldn't regard the Kell Brook escapade as a risky business decision. It was in snooker terms a shot to nothing, Brook was always going to look good for a few moments before succumbing, leaving him with the impression of having competed well bit ultimately not belonging to the weight, no net loss in marketability,
