So Was it a "Shit Move" for GGG, Mr. "Nobody Wants to Fight Me", to Demand a Catchweight of 164 to Face the Reigning 168lb Champion???...

REED's Never 1nce Said Canelo Didn't...But What REED Doesn't Get Is How GGG Fans Can Dogpile Canelo for Doing Something GGG HIMSELF Did Prior....

wait a minute... GGG wanting a catchweight against a guy who fights in another weightclass is the same to you as Canelo wanting a catchweight for a guy fighting in the same weightclass as him???

You have no problem with GGG facing a Junior Middleweight like Lara but you think he's being unreasonable for scoffing at having a catchweight against an actual middleweight like Alvarez?

Unlike YOU, REED Doesn't Conveniently Differentiate btwn "Good" or "Bad" Catchweight Scenarios...To REED, a Catchweight IS what it Is...

REED Hasn't Been "Cool" w/ANY Of them, Necessarily, Yet Historically Speaking, The "Draw" has ALWAYS Dictated If/When they Occur...Which is PRECISELY What GGG Tried to Dictate to Ward...But that's Apparently Fine and Dandy w/Ya'll, Even Though it DEFECATES Upon the Notion of "Nobody Wanting to Fight Golovkin"....

Pertaining to Canelo, he's Only Moved Up 2 Fights Ago, yet NEITHER of his Opponents were Actual Middleweights, or Are You Going to PRETEND Cotto and Khan are Even REMOTELY Close to GGG's Size???...

REED Isn't Sure Canelo's an "Actual" Middleweight (Yet), Despite Weighing in @ 199lbs, or Whatever it Is, on Fightnight...The Fact he's Continued to CUT As Much Weight as he Has, Illustrates This...

And Also, it's NOT as if Canelo is Demanding a Catchweight of 154...155-'56 (or Whatever He's Demanding) is STILL Within the Realm of a "Middleweight Title Fight"...

No, but are you going to pretend Cotto and Khan were Canelo's size? Yet what weight division and what belt were they fighting for? Spin it all you want. Have Alvarez go on the "No Spin Zone" with Bill O'Reilly. None of it changes the fact that Canelo is out and out ducking GGG. This isn't even opinion or semantics any longer it's close to a scientific fact. I even thought the WBC would find some excuse to not stripping him of the belt but even they can't keep a straight face about this any more.

    "I don't fuck around!".

Yeah he has and he is.

I didnt say alvarez cant win, I said Im not sure who wins that fight. Id favor alvarez since i still consider lemook a front runner, but its no walkover. Alvarez has yet to face a guy with lemooks power.

If it was for Andre Wards Super Middleweight Title, then yes. If not, then no.

Again, Ward can't even make it through a training camp healthy, so I'm not sure why you're pretending this was ever legitimately on the table to begin with.

A long time ago somebody asked Golovkin if he would fight Ward, and he honestly told them he thought Ward was too big for him and maybe if they meet in the middle they fight.

Considering I'm a Golovkin dickrider, I guess it's surprising that I think Andre Ward, at anywhere near maximum capacity, makes GGG look pretty silly.

As has been evidenced by the scales, Canelo is not smaller then Golovkin by any stretch of the imagination. He's pulling shit comparably to what Gatti used to do back in the Joey Gamache days, all the while claiming to be the "Lineal Middleweight Title Holder".

The "realm" of a Middleweight title fight is 160 lbs. period. If you want to come in at less, fine, but to dictate that to your opponent is cuntworthy, cuntish and downright cuntly.

Everyone just wants the advantage and wants to win and not get sparked out like a dick.

Weight classes do matter, that's why multi-weight champions are held in high esteem. Move up a few lbs and cunts hit a LOT harder and take shots better, generally.

Canelo doesn't want to fight at 160 cos he'll get monstered, and GGG doesn't want to fight at 154.76 because he'll be drained.

They both want to win and that's that. That's the game now.

It was actually Cotto's team that wanted to fight for his middleweight belt but at 155 (which benefited both fighters as both really had no business at middleweight.) Then he fought Amir Khan at that same weight. As much flack as Canelo caught for fighting Khan, it would have been worse to make Khan go all the way up to 160.

The truth is Canelo has never really fought at middleweight. I think a lot of people on this site have this notion that Canelo is going around calling himself a middleweight but fighting at 155. I don't think Canelo actually cares about semantics. He was defending the belt he won from Cotto (who wanted to fight at 155.) They could have easily fought for Canelo's belt at 154.

Alvarez and his Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya dropped the WBC title under the guise of not being rushed into a deal by the WBC's artificial deadline (which was today), but the fact is that since Canelo vacated the belt there's been no negotiating at all.

"I can confirm that nothing has been forthcoming from Golden Boy since they informed the WBC of their decision," Loeffler exclusively told World Boxing News.
"We are still hopeful that the fight with Canelo can be made and are open to continuing the discussions as soon as Golden Boy are ready and willing to do so.

The WBC "Mexican Belt" was Canelo's leverage. Now that's he unexpectedly lost that his only other thing is being "The Draw".

Both guys will likely fight garbage opponents next as there is much around for either.

Nice try. Last I checked Golovkin didn't take on a former lightweight for the middleweight title.

At least you're one of the few posters that thinks Canelo will win that fight. Still you can't deny Alvarez is flat out ducking Golovkin. It's clear as day. Unless they can dictate all the terms they want the GGG fight as bad as you want Roberto Martinez managing Everton next season.

Canelo resume is miles above ggg resume. while it's true that canelo is ducking ggg, the sad part is that it seems that ggg is content to waste his career waiting for a fight that will probably never come

    Superfights, unifications, mandatories, undefeateds, names
that's generally what makes the most sense.
Sometimes, a fighter moving up to fight you or going up a weight class can cut into this pecking order, but those are exceptions.
That would put PBF first, Saunders second.
