The judge who have Leonard 10 rounds against Hagler or the one who gave Canelo 10 rounds against GGG?

It's kinda like picking between hitler and pol pot but i think the leonard card was probably slightly worse. I came away thinking alvarez had landed the better quality shots in a lot of those rounds, even as he backed up and backed up. Hard rounds to score.

    Both flat out wrong tho

8-4. Worst outcome I can think of for GGG,

Sometimes a fix is so obvious.

Eugenia Williams 10-9 for Holyfield in the 5th round of the first Lewis vs Holy fight.

That's probably the sort of card you know when the fix is in.

Canelo landed the more eye catching shots in a large majority of rounds

Certainly not the middle 6 rounds. He backed up constantly, got bullied, jabbed to bolivian - and his fast, hard eye catching shots were being blocked and parried.

The judge that scored Lewis-Holyfield round 5 for Evander is still the worst imo.

Of course he did! He picked Canelo to win from the beginning like you did. Very predictable.

    I'm objective.

This silly rumour that I'm biased is based on ONE thing and one thing only....the fact that I'm a Mayweather fan.

When I analyze and score fights I base it on logic....xplosive is all about who he likes better.

I mean xplosive picked lacy to destroy Calzaghe for heavens sake. He based that prediction on the fact he hated the Welshman's style.

He's a know nothing cunt that just has encyclopedic knowledge of the sport ( through his obsession of spending every free moment watching fights) but he cannot analyze for shit

I thought it'd be close and basically for conversations sake (since nobody had picked alvarez at all at that point in the thread) I went with him on the basis that I thought Ggg might show up old, and that pressure fighters favour his style.

For the record, i think Ggg probably edged it purely on workrate. But 9-3 cards are daft

Yes but you interpret things depending on the prior involvement, if any, of Floyd.

Are you sure that doesn't influence you too .....

And those who claimed GGG was going to destroy Canelo in one sided fashion ( guffaw guffaw) are adamant that GGG won 9 rounds and dominated him.

The real truth is that it was a close fight that could have been scored either way and a draw is a fair result. That's the point.

LOL at being scored either way. There is no argument at all for Alvarez winning.

I mean fuck think about it, he's the house cash cow, and the best they could give him was a draw. Let that sink in. That pretty much tells you Gennady dominated.

If a legit case could be made for Alvarez winning, do you really think they would have scored it a draw? If it was a legimitately close fight, they obviously would have given it to Alvarez.

Most press seem to have Golovkin winning 8 rounds to 4, which is a fair score.

I think it was a close fight which could probably, reasonably, only have been scored one way. But a draw didn't stink to me, for the reasons ive rehearsed earlier, namely that it was quality vs quantity in the main. Using the word 'dominated' in association with this fight is more LOL worthy than the notion that alvarez mightve squeeked 7 rounds

It stinks because one judge said Golovkin won 2 rounds. The one judge who gave it to Canelo said he dominated and the one judge who gave it to GGG gave it to him by one round.

Jesus of Nazareth gets out of the Garden of Gethsemane with a warning before GGG get's a decision against a HBOscar fighter,

the first 3 rounds and the last 3 rounds could most certainly be scored for Alvarez by any objective measure. There was at least one other round. I'm going to watch again but I'm sure alvarez also won either the 5th or the 6th (i remember having it 3-3 after 6 rounds.. So 7-5 for Alvarez is certainly conceivable.

The only reason that you think
It is a fair result is because Byrd screwed everything up. Without her whack scorecard, GGG wins.

Byrd's card was horrible...but a 6-6 draw is fair. There were many rounds which were competitive and could have been scored either way. But Jeffy, be honest, which of the two fighters was more accurate from what you saw?

Canelo did seem to be more accurate when he threw. But he simply didn't throw enough and GGG just walked through his shots. GGG threw and connected more. And when he did Canelo backed into the ropes allowing GGG to have his way with him. There is no denying that GGG controlled that ring last night. He pressured the shit out of Canelo causing Canelo to be on the retreat for most of the fight.

Dominated the entire fight is a stretch, I mean Floyd Vs Canelo, that's domination.

However, Golovkin did dominate like 6 rounds in a row, and even the rounds Canelo did win were close.
