Konrad in my opinion. That being said, Maynard and Madsen aren't far behind.

    Personally I don't mind Fitch's monkey grappling.

Shields is a hard watch for me. Wouldn't put him on the same level as Konrad though.

I don't really mind any of those fighters.

I find Dan Miller to be the most boring fighter, I'm glad he was finally cut.

Shields, Kos, Maynard, CB, Rashad has rebounded nicely but 18 months ago he would have been at the top of this list. There is even a champ or two that fights verrrry safely so often that the performance is terrible. Usually guys with explosive takedowns as the great equalizer tend to employ little else in their arsenal.

So the only fights you have seen of his were Cote and Maia then?

Cause that is some bullshit. The majority of his fights are good.

Hell, even the Sonnen fight, which was spent on the ground was fun to watch.

Konrad is boring, but the guy only has a few fights, where as Shields has made a career out of boring.

Shields was boring in his SF fights, but his last fight was good.

wait.....what? the Kampmann fight? I suppose if keeping opponent against cage and not passing guard is good.......

Shields got full mount like 3 times, and was passing to side mount with ease. We clearly weren't watching the same fight.

I agree with TLC on this one. I am big fan of Shields because of his consistency and the fact that his grappling is on a different planet than most. That being said, he is boring.

However, I enjoyed the Kampmann fight. And I'm not sure what you mean. Shields worked hard to pass Kampmann's guard and even mounted him briefly once or twice. Kampmann is solid on the ground and it was fun to watch him play in Jake's world. The fact that Shields tired quickly also made it more interesting.

On a side note, I watched the fight at a local bar with 4 friends. 3 thought Jake won. Me and the other guy though Kampmann did.

I think Shields is going to have alot of troubles at 170 in the UFC. Making the weight will be a huge problem for him. When a fighter gets used to fighting at the heavier weight, his body will grow into that weight. Shields will never again find it easy to make 170. He will do it, but it will be difficult from here on out. I am 100% sure that is why he gassed. The competition at 170 is brutal especially compared to what he has been fighting. He is lucky if he gets the next shot at the title, because I highly doubt he would beat Jon Fitch.

based on his ability - the guy doesn't do enough. I love watching Silva but after every fight you always have this feeling that he is holding back..

Speaking of boring. They came out with ultimate knockouts before and now they came out with ultimate submissions....Can't wait till ultimate decisions hit the stores
