Putting aside that I believe what PBC is doing violates the Ali bill, anti-trust stuff, etc, the only true fuck-up that I see them doing is ignoring the sanctioning bodies. It's a simpleton view of the sport that is unsustainable and counterproductive. Yes, it can work in the short term, but it will fail and it's just a stupid mistake for a promoter doing so much else 'right'.
It's Not that he's Secretive, he's just Completely DISINTERESTED in the Limelight or Celebrity, Which has Led to the Downfall of MANY Successful Businessmen... Most, that Wield the Level of POWER Haymon Does, COULDN'T Resist Stroking their Own Egos w/Interviews and/or Television Appearances... REED:hammert:
That's fair enough. We can't criticize Ellerbee for being a loudmouth douche AND criticize Haymon for being private, all at the same time. I would be much more a fan of the Haymon School than the Ivaylo Gotzev School or the Don King School.

Yeah....I mean whatever about Zoo's talents or lack thereof, he was always easily one of the more likeable guys in the sport, and Grays misbehaviour is all the worse when juxtaposed with how WELL Judah was behaving himself.
Apparently Haymon's plan all along was to accumulate as many fighters as he could, and bilk all these poor, unsuspecting investors out of their hard earned money. haymon gets his reasonable managerial percentage from each fighters inflated purse. seems pretty criminal
From part 2: "Promoters put up with this arrangement because, over the years, HBO was remarkably generous when giving out dates and paying license fees for fights involving Haymon’s fighters." That implies kickbacks.
Adrien Broner’s victory over Ashley Theophane delivered 1,013,000 viewers (10:36pm-11:21pm) on Friday, April 1, [2016] making it the most watched PBC fight in network history.
say what you want about that piece of shit broner but he is a known commodity and if he and mayweather jr fight it will sell over 1million ppvs
Why do you keep clamoring for that fight? It's not one bit compelling, and Broner has no zero chance. Floyd could take off for 20 years and still beat Broner's bum ass. I refuse to buy a Floyd fight unless it's against Golov. And we know that ain't happening. I'd rather see Broner vs Garcia. That's an interesting matchup, and more compelling than Broner-Floyd. Pretty sure we WILL see Broner-Garcia next. It makes sense for both guys. It'll sell well, it'll get good ratings, and both guys will get paid really well. I predict it'll be made for the summer, at Barclay's most likely.
God, I hope you're wrong. And if they do fight, I hope the ring transforms into a cage with only them left in it, and a pack of starved wolves is unleashed on them.
sounds like golden boy aint shit without alvarez. he is single handedly keeping their mickey mouse outfit afloat. 90% of their revenue comes from him :atu:
