Let's say Wlad quit against Fury ( I agree) AND Brewster (made-up history). That is two fights in 69. Is that enough to label a guy 'coward'? Tyson didn't want to get up against Lewis and Williams, retired against McBride and fouled out against Holy. Shit, by the Fury standards you could throw in the Douglas fight, as apart from one uppercut he practically let himself get beat. From almost every fighter in the history you can fight the one or two where they seemed flat or didn't push all out. Especially if a fictional head-shake is enough to rule that. I am not saying Wlad had a heart of Ali, definitely not. But the claims of that are more based on the mental image of him rather than facts
I give Wlad a pass for the Brewster fight, that was weird and he looked legitimately fucked. It's the fact he was using the frightened octopus style against guys like Mormeck that really fucked me off about him.
That a dumb thing to say. The important thing is not how many time he folded, but how he reacted to adversity. In all his career, he folded like cheap toilet paper every time he was in bit of troubles, bar in his last fight where he showed a bit of heart but still folded even though he should have won it. Coupled with the fact that the guy was a notorious hugger, only fanboy can claim the guy wasnt mentally weak. I know its hard to admit for a few white supremacist and/or german/ukrainian nationalist, but it is what it is. Guy was a mega coward plain and simlple. And your tyson comparaison are nothing if not ridiculous. He got tremendous beatings against douglas and lewis and was still throwing bombs, while wlad folded and flopped to the canvas whenever he got hit hard. And bringing up the william and McBride fight. Lol come on
nah man. It's obvious for any sane person that he made no with his head. You can't see it cause you're so mesmerized by Wlad hot body, but it's the case
Yeah right. He's gonna wave his head "no" after the fight is already waved off in order to quit. You don't seem very bright.
For anybody who is not a total retard, his whole body language before the stoppage was making it obvious he was quitting. Since you're autistic youre probably not able to realise this. The no sign was just the admission of guilt on his part
I know autist are unable to read the body language of a person, but for normal person it's easy to do. especially when it,s as obvious as it was in that case.
To be fair to Wald pussy, he did showed a bit of heart and resolve against Williamson. But then, fight was stopped way too early
What the fuck ever happened to Tam Tam? On his site, we had a thread where we looked at different fighters' wins over undefeated (10 wins min) fighters. It was a great thread. There were others.
I absolutely think it means something. In my hierarchy for which fights a belt holder should take during a career, I think it goes: 1. Title fight in a different weight class. 2. Unification fight. 3. Mandatory. Do what you have to in order to keep the belt. 4. Undefeated opponent. 5. Overrated American with losses 6. Overrated foreigner with losses 1 and 2 are interchangeable. 3 and 4 are close, but 4 drops a lot if it isn't a title fight so 3 wins. The problem with 5 and 6 is that beating overrated fighters with losses is that you just add a loss to their record and they invariably get downgraded after receiving another loss. Beating an undefeated fighter gives you more credit because any subsequent losses can be attributed to you beating them first. Finally, there is an asterisk to all of this. Money comes first.
The mormeck fight was possibly the most offputting thing I've seen in a boxing ring in 18 years following the sport. Boxing can absorb quitters and offensive cheats and survive, it can't absorb tactics like that.
I have no problem with that thought, rules should be perhaps changed to make that illegal. I just won't continue a discussion with nazi remarks
To be honest, even though Ugotabe knows his shit...he does go off on a subjectism like with Jarko Niemenen: clearly shit tenniser but Ugo got blinded by Scandinavian/white prejudice and claimed he was HoF...
