I think it's weak to just pass Vargas's technical work against boxers the caliber of Quartey and Wright to a vague notion of physical talent as if he is Roy Jones winning in spite of technique... He won because he was skillful and adapted... I don't think Vargas was demonstrably more innately talented than Winky or Ike ... Who's the most technically skillful guy Cotto has ever outboxed? If "sneaky" means "more skillful than visual inspection or results show to be true" than Cotto is sneaky indeed

Cotto had a good hook. Def more powerful to the body than to the head. I erased the notion of him being a big puncher once he hit Judah with everything but the sink and took 11 rounds to stop him.

Both Cotto and Lucas punch much harder than Trashkhan, yet look at their respective fights with Judah.

 

Lucas didn't hit Judah nearly as much times as Cotto did.

Matty Ice is a bigger puncher than Cotto. He's definitely not as GOOD as Cotto, but he has more pop.
