Whitaker vs Benitez

At 140, 147, and 154.

3 different fights IMO. At 140, I think Whitaker out smarts him. At 147, Benitez by that point had really come into his own and Sweet Pea was a bit worse, and I think he'd win a clear decision. At 154, I think Benitez wins in dominant fashion, seeing as that was his best weight.

He sure as Hell does not beat Benitez at 154.

 

once again, you,re putting way too much stock in these little weight differences.

 

Benitez was filled out and very sharp at 154, and I don't feel Whitaker looked amazing at 154 against Vasquez.

Size matters when the talent gap isn't huge. Benitez was comparably talented, and the naturally bigger man.
