  2. Pretty easy to do, tbh.

  3. Also, the title should just be something like 'Simple bongo drum solo'. The words 'Reme Djembe' aren't fucking relevant to the thread title.

Furthermore, it's not remotely thread-worthy and at best, should be a simple post in the official 'MUSIC' thread.

Oh yeah, and what is it with FB Puerto Ricans with no sense of musical creed wbatsover?

    Multiple FAIL.

    He's playing a Djembe

Bongos and Djembe are different instruments altogether

It's like if he had shared a video of an Oboist performing and you said "title should be Clarinet solo!"

As for the playing, it's actually pretty good... the sound effect, pitch shifting nonsense in the beginning was hollow theatrics designed to appeal to the same people who think pick scrapes on an electric guitar are hard to do... but once he stopped with that silliness and got down to playing, it was good ... good time, played around with some polyrhythms... it's not the most exciting thing in the world listening to a single drum being played by a single drummer but it showed a solid command of the instrument

    TL;DR: Die!

Hey! if it isn't Mr. "I like drums more subtle" and "seems more ambitious" ... come here to learn something yet again, I take it? You deaf twat... you wouldn't know a Bassoon from a Bison ... I hope someone beats you and everyone you've ever cared about to death with a Trombone slide

How can someone live in Brazil and not know Bongos from other drums?

Hopefully you get decapitated and your skull turned into a makeshift bongo by local hooligans

  10. Never even heard of a fuckin djumbo drum and Im sure a) Antoinette never had either before stumbling upon it in a weird musical taste search and b) neither did you before you quickly Googled 'bongo drum alternative' to make you appear clever.

    Bongo drums.
    Conga drums.

    Die.

Djembe is an African drum... been around forever and very common ... hippies that need their faces filed off with a rasp are known for procuring them and mindlessly pounding on them in "drum circles" which is the percussion equivalent of 30 people who don't play guitar mindlessly banging away at the open strings in unison

I knew at least half a dozen cunts in high school who had one and thought it'd be cool to "sit in" and "jam" with me only for me to quickly CORRRRRRECT them and like legendary Cleveland Orchestra tyrant/genius George Szell inform them "you play like a gypsy whore!"

  12. People who went to Goa in the 1990s usually returned with a set.

    Or used them at ´Raves´.

Seriously how do you not know the Djembe man? Why even comment?

  15. Went to see Santana years and years ago (pre-fucking Inner Secrets era, I might add) and this guy was amazing:

  16. 1 - How? Because it´s so fuckin random and unheard of.
Congas, bongos, and timbales: these are the shit.

    2 - Silence!
    I´m taking over your thread.

  21. But now I look at it, a Djembe is just something your relatives bring home from a vacation in Africa and you just stick in the corner of your living room.
    To put drinks on, maybe?
Or to sit on when there are no chairs available.
