Explain why.

 

Definitely a top 10 movie of the 70s, although it falls a bit short of top 5 IMO.

 

I only realized this recently.

That last scene encapsulates the character of Travis Bickle


It's more than the "one day a real rain will wash the scum off the streets" or "you lookin at me?"


In that last 2-3min scene you see maybe Bickle is content, then Betsy gets in the cab and he's like "yeah, hello" and then there's the weird look into his mirror and you think maybe he's just a nutter who's a ticking bomb?!

 

Fantastic film ... one of the best

Imagine what kind of fucked up mind you must have to think “if I kill the president, Jodie Foster will be impressed”.

 

They should remake this shitty movie. Call it Uber driver. Instead of deniro get a turban wearing Indian and let the hilarity begin..
