Case in point. I happened to stumble upon an interview with Eddie Reynoso for those of you non Spanish speakers that's Canelo's trainer after the recent fight. In that interview he clearly expressed his interest in seeing Canelo take on Benavides next. So, it's safe to say that the team has Benavides on their radar.

Canelo just fought 4 days ago. These elite fighters and their teams have their strategies and plans. Jumping to conclusions based on rumors doesn't do the sport any justice. Fuck at least give them the time they need to make these matchups happen and in the meantime take a chill pill and stop gossiping like a bunch of chismosas.

Bivol is a natural 175-pounder, while Canelo started at 147. Hopkins outclassed Trinidad and De La Hoya but they remain great fighters. In the end Canelo will also be considered great. surpassing Trinidad and De La Hoya.

Canelo's never had a "wow" performance in the way many other greats have. He's just not a "wow" type fighter.

- Controversial, unimpressive wins over Lara and Golovkin.

-A clear, but unspectacular win over an aging, smaller Cotto.

-A workman like decision win over Jacobs.

-A stoppage win over a shot, alcoholic Kovalev.

-A lopsided decision over a Callum Smith who came to survive (same with Charlo).

-Stoppages of BJS and Plant (both expected).
