You are not right about Jack Shit, Brown.

If you think that baboon won that fight, you don't know one single thing about boxing, and that's a fact!

 I'm just kidding. I thought Holyfield won for sure... but he didn't get the decision, which means he won no title.

    I'm right.

I thought Valuev won. He did. No suprise, other than it was even more boring than first thought.

I never expected to see Evander run for 12 rounds and try to con his way to a win. That was shocking...almost as much as that it nearly worked.

You have really shown your boxing intelligence with this post, pal.

You have zero, which you have now revealed to everyone here.

No problems, Stinger. Thanks for your opinion.

If anything, Holyfield's performance probably earned him another 4 or 5 title shots.

And that really is the scary part. Almost beating Valuev will validate continuing to fight in Evander's mind.

Plus insomniacs worldwide will be calling for a rematch.

Based on his postfight comments, I think Holyfield may actually retire this time. Usually after a loss, he's very adamant about continuing with his "just get back in line" speech. However, this time it seemed different. In his mind, why should he keep killing himself in training just to have the judges rob him of a "title"?

It was not a robbery, though I want to thank Charles and Bernstein for their biased commentary, because the bookies are clueless on boxing and they react to it. That way they pushed the line on Valuev to a ridiculous +275 in round seven.

It was a close and pathetic fight. Holyfield actually fought smart, and prepared well. I´ll give him that. He was in top shape for another twelve rounds and used the ring to his advantage, but he simply can´t throw enough punches to win and he gave it away in the last two rounds.

I thought Holy won 8-4, maybe 7-5. However, it was close (and ugly) enough that I can envision the draw or 115-114 score. But 8-4 Valuev? Riddick-ulous.

Not at all. I think the fight was a big fat nothing and more than anything, the overwhelming feel of boxing fans that Holyfield not only won, but was "robbed" further solidifies my theory on underdogs doing better than expected.

:atu::atu: suck shit to Holyfield :atu::atu:

i would hate to hear about him being the "oldest heavyweight champion" just from winning a paper title

Foreman beat THE champ to do it, not some shitty average title holder :hammert:

This loss may have saved Holyfield's life. Had he won, he may have had to die against Wlad.

I didn't watch this garbage in is whole, but I find it very funny that some reporters screams at the judges incompetence while there scorecard is in the line of 118-110 Holyfield wich is completely outrageous. Most of the rounds I saw where very close, with Holyfield showing more flash but with Valuev being more accurrate with unspectacular punches, and you just don't win these kind of fights vs Valuev in his "backyard". Valuev is pretty terrible, but he knows how to use his size effectively wich some even very good fighters are totally clueless against. The only thing he doesn't do well with his size is that he doens't use it enough to tire his opponent out, he should maul and clinch them more to tire them. What makes Valuev performance even worse is that he seemed to get the better of the few exchanges in the fight, but he was content plodding around and not forcing the issue on a man near his 50
