I dont know. It was in the manilla times. And if Martinez puts his belt on the line, its for the title. You can come in underweight for a title fight. Just not over

DiBella said he would make the fight at 155 and Arum said no. So pactards chill on this fight.

That's fair. I won't blase Pacquiao if he doesn't take the fight... I'm just saying I'd love to see him try. I don't think there are many boxing fans who wouldn't.

Yeah, I'd much rather see Pacquiao fight someone I'm 100% sure he'll beat.

    What the fuck fellas?

I'm with Steven David on this one, I think Pacquiao should go for it, no one could say shit if he wins

Is Martinez on PBF's hypothetical resume?

The important thing is that when he meets the wall it will prove that PBF never needed to fight him, as he would have beaten him anyway.

Just remember, for whatever reason (miscalculation, HBO 24/7, under-rating of Pacquiao), there's been plenty of guys who picked him to lose in each of his last six fights. So don't start acting like Pacquiao hasn't chased challenges all this time. He has. And whether he fights Martinez or not (I think it'd be idiotic for him to do so), there's no disputing this.

what will Steward change? the guy is shot as a trainer.

I do think Cotto would have been better off with Steward than that little punk he had working his corner who was afraid to even speak up.

But he won't beat Manny even with Steward.

Not sure exactly how Pacquiao fighting a guy that Mayweather just beat when they actually had a momentum going on keeps translating to a great victory in the head of Pacquiao fans.

I'm sure Floyd would get trashed if his next opponent was Margarito or Clottey but that's exactly what Pacquiao did. But hey, he was a flyweight and he sings and he's humble and Mayweather is an asshole so I guess I have to change the way I evaluate their wins.

Pacquiao needs to get the fight done with Mayweather. Everyone is now putting the blame on Mayweather for the fight not being done but you all must have forgot that Pacquiao was the one that fucked the 1st fight not being done. The fact that he backtracked on the conditions of the fight after they fought apart confirms it. It's true that Mayweather is an asshole and we don't like him but let's not forget he was/is retired. He's fighting fighting about once every two years for a while now. The fight needed to be made then. So I blame Pacquiao a lot for fucking it up then and everyone should too. For fuck sakes this two need to fight, anything else feels like almost nothing and that goes for both.

well the last time the fight could have been done Pacquiao agreed to the terms. Basically calling his bluff.

Mayweather's response was " Im not thinking about boxing right now"

That pissed off even Floyd's fans. No way anybody can defend that.

weather you call it scared or not clearly he is not into the fight.

And IMO is proved that if Pac agreed to the terms initially, Floyd would have backed out then too.

Floyd actually wanted to fight earlier in the year, he scheduled a fight against nobody so he obviously wasn't interested in fighting at all after fighting Mosley this year.

This is why floyd is scared to fight. You have his balls in your mouth. Give them back. Lets get this fight going.

Did Arum say also that he believes pac would beat Martinez? If he thinks that, then why not go ahead with the fight. Simple

Momentum....winning streaks(even though 3 of 4 of Pac opponents had winning streaks going into his fight)....state of mind....in-form.....

Ok just because you have a feeling, which i think is wrong anyways because Stewards style adjustments aren't usually a style that would suit someone against Pacman. And even if they make Cotto better there would be so much improvement to make from that disaster of a fight last time.

To take that and give a fight more credibility thant someone who hadn't have a chance to try, yet is pretty crazy, imo.
