I didn't believe he could look worse than he did vs Ishida yet he does (and by a significant margin). What a waste, while he was way short of a great talent, he could have been his generation Arturo Gatti

 

Yeah, usually it's a case of being sad seeing a former great look completely shot.

This is a bit different, because James was never elite.

But it's still sad, cause this was an absolute shell of the fighter he was circa 2009-2011.

The Glen Tapia win was his last vintage performance.

He had a lesbian fitness fanatic for a coach. That was it. He was simply not being taught the refinements of Boxing. I never understood how he gravitated to her.

His greatest win, Imho, , was against a guy wearing a dog collar who'd spent the preceding 12 months in a detention camp. And he won that by basically outlasting the guy.

That was a great win, probably worthy of some sort of title.

 

You know with Julians eyes I'd give James... I'd give ANYONE a shot provided they had basic evasive skills. James would just walk into the propellor and be iced.

 

He looks so shot here that I would pick Conor McGregor to KO him

 

Off topic, but these "ghost boxing" videos need to be done more often.

 

Especially for Kirkland as he keeps getting hurt when he gets in the ring with live bodies.

 

The way he looked last night he would have gotten knocked out shadow boxing. No need to edit footage.

 

That was sad. Montiel was throwing left uppercuts from a mile away and landing every one of them.

 

Yeah, it was tough to watch.

As shot a fighter as we'll ever see.

 

Yeah he's absolutely finished. Some random flyweight would probably KO Kirkland in the first round if they took an aggressive approach.
