The part of the forearm on the front of my wrists is definitely gaining some size, but my grip is the part that is really changing. My hands are actually gaining better circulation and more meat to them, which makes for a stronger grip. :bears:

I'm rehabbing a groin injury from sprinting, so I am slowly but surely doing windsprints again. I injured my groin and lower abs by sprinting without warming up properly and without using proper posture. I'm slowly regaining my running form, but since I was more into long-distance, it really doesn't matter.

I just re-introduced Cardio a while ago.. 5 days a week, early morning runs.. no doubt getting a little lighter will make the chins easier.. lol

I'm right at 200lbs but feel like I'd be better off at around 185

That's good functional strength, but is that 100 pushups non-stop?

nah.. same with Chins.. I don't really struggle..

    I'll do like 4 sets of 25 while I'm a work. .

I was up to 100 straight a while back.. not sure if I pushed myself how many I could get now..

I do my 4 of 25 but I do them with good form and not too fast. .

you know another thing I have been trying? sometimes at least once a day or so I'l do like 3 or 4 chins.. maybe 5.. REAL SLOW

that guy from Beastskills says he likes to take one full minute to do one chinup up and down..

I have been doing this and I think it makes you stronger as well

Three sets of 3 at the gym again today. It's not hard at all, but the last set was a bit of work because I had done a lot of repetitions for today's workout and my arms were totally pumped. Tomorrow is heavy chin day. I'll see if I can get two sets of 15 with 10lbs, and if so, then I'll add weight. :)

I'm working up to more than that. The weight vest holds 50lbs, and it doesn't have to go around my neck.

First I have to do at least two sets of 15 today, but my right shoulder is feeling a bit dead.

isn't it awesome to see the chins get easier and easier?

last night I was doing some and my wife said "wow.. you make that look so easy"

I can now have my legs straight out and slightly up in front of me and do 15 real controlled chins..

I need to get one of them vests!!

I'll likely be using 20lbs in the vest on Sunday. I feel like a rock right now. I can't work out until 4, but that's ok because I'm gonna have an extra-long workout.

    Life is good.

Just weightplates would be fine. A couple of 5s or 10s and you'll notice the difference.

I dont think I have anymore weight plates at home..

I think I have some 50's (dumbells) but we might have give them away before moving..

I definativly have some 25's and lower..

you think adding 25-50lbs would be tough?

50 would be pretty tough. 25 would be manageable, but are you going to just do it once in awhile or everyday? I'm just doing the weighted ones once or twice a week.

Well, I got 15 with the 10lbs strapped to my legs, so it is time to move up. Damn it feels good to have chinning strength.

Well, another day, another set of normals. It's 7 in the morning here so the bar felt slippery. Still got my three, but coming the day after heavy day, it wasn't quite as simple as usual.

Thanks for the link, dude. I haven't tried pistols, but it sounds like a bit of a challenge. I'll start giving them a whirl. Bodyweight exercises aren't likely to stunt growth in the way that weights would, so I'm definitely going to have my kids doing stuff like that.

And I got two sets in this morning. One of 3 and one of 4 in the chins. I have to make sure I don't go up too quickly because the top of my chinning bar is close to a beam in my basement. I'd move it, but it's the only place the chinup bar on my power rack will fit down there. And I don't need any Flintstone lumps.

I just found a place at work to bang out a few chins. The drawback is that it is the stall in the can.

Still, I belted out a quick couple and it worked fine. The square bar digs into my hands a bit, but it's fine plus my hands have been getting thicker as a result of the increased blood circulation from gripping and lifting my bodyweight quickly.

    :bears: LMAO!!

I'll give you credit for improvising Buddy

I'd imagine that squared thing would hurt! I'd wrap it in papertowl or something:lol: just tell us how someone reacts when they walk in to take a piss and you are in the middle of chinning:lol:

Well, my bicep tendons are a bit toasty so I might wait till I get home to do the rest of the chins. It's definitely working though. My hands and forearms are getting thick.
